🌐 The Global Network 🌐SIREN www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Siren.jpgALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT SUB-GROUP: HEADMASTER HUMAN COMPONENT: QUIG FUNCTION: INCENDIARY DAMAGE CONTROL FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 62 "Act first, ask questions later." Profile: Siren comes from the Sonic Canyons of southern Cybertron, a region where the deafening sound of underground machinery wells up from below and loudly echoes among the canyon walls, causing a constant deluge of scrap metal to come tumbling down. Given this deafening, dangerous environment he learned to be both loud of mouth and nimble of feet. He has the reputation of being overbearing, but much of that comes from his tendency to scream rather than talk, particularly to his Autobot subordinates who help him in emergency situations. He likes to think that he's at his best in these situations: a no-nonsense, take-charge Transformer whose decisiveness under pressure has saved the lives of many Autobots and humans. Actually, he often makes a problem worse by refusing to put aside his own narrow point of view and confronting the problem from a fresh prospective. He's very stubborn. He's also forthright and opinionated, and dominates any conversation if for no other reason than he's louder than everyone else. Quig was Librarian Master of Nebulos before he became a Headmaster. He oversaw the Optical Storage Archives, a repository of knowledge that is famous across half the galaxy. Realizing that the act of quiet study would become a thing of the past if the Decepticons were allowed to ravage his world, he volunteered to help the Autobots in their efforts to stop their age-old enemies. Unfortunately for him, after he was bio-engineered to have the ability to convert to a robotic head, he was paired with the bellowing Siren, whose every utterance makes the soft-spoken Nebulan jump. Acting as Siren's head module, Quig is influenced by Siren's latent thought patterns to talk much more loudly than he is comfortable with. Abilities: Siren wields a sawed-off CO2 shotgun, which shoots high-powered bursts of freezing carbon dioxide gas that can turn an opponent into a frosted statue on impact. He also is armed with two sonic scream pistols, which can shatter steel with their high-decibel output. These are mounted on his hood in car mode, in which he can achieve speeds of up to 480 miles per hour and has a range of 1000 miles. Weaknesses: Siren has no notable weaknesses. Quig, however, must take frequent rests from acting as Siren's head module in order to give his sensitive ears a rest. Not surprisingly, he suffers from frequent headaches.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐SKALOR www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Skalor.jpgALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON SUB-GROUP: SEACON FUNCTION: AMPHIBIOUS ASSAULT FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 47 "I stink, therefore I am." Profile: This merciless, polluting parasite is so foul that even his fellow Seacons do their best to avoid him. A peculiarity of his circulatory system permits small amounts of lubricant and other chemicals to bubble to his surface through joints and welds, making Skalor the malodorous menace that he is. As a result, he leaves a disgusting trail of grease and toxic chemicals wherever he goes. Although often advised that this condition can be easily corrected with a few minor adjustments, (particularly by those who have to work with him), Skalor chooses to continue just the way he is. The smell doesn't bother him. He feels that if the smell bothers others, that's their problem, not his. But this argument obscures the real reason for Skalor's foul scent: He just doesn't care about personal hygiene. And the fact that his odor occasionally keeps his enemies at bay is a bonus that he uses to defend his slovenly lifestyle. Abilities: In creature mode, Skalor operates equally well on land or at sea. He can clamp his vacuum-suction mouth onto most ships and, by piercing their hulls with his diamond-tipped teeth, suck the fuel from them. A snap of his turbo-powered jaws can cut through any substance. His maximum swimming speed is 35 knots. His underwater range is 4,000 miles. His heavy armor allows him to function at any depth. In creature and robot modes he wields two crustation rifles, which encase and immobilize anything they hit with a stream of hard, sticky scales. One rifle shoots the scales, the other shoots a viscous adhesive that glues the scales to their target. In weapons mode, Skalor transforms into a twin-barrelled corrosive slime-shooter. He combines with his fellow Seacons to form the super-robot Piranacon. Weaknesses: As a result of his leakage problems and generally poor self-maintenance, Skalor is prone to minor but frequent breakdowns. All are the result of low internal fluid levels. He sometimes overheats, suffers from locked joints and strips his own gears, for example. Occasionally he becomes immobilized at the bottom of a deep ocean and must be fished out by his fellow Seacons.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐SKIDS www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Skids.jpgALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT FUNCTION: THEORETICAN FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 14 "Deep down, we are more like than unlike humans." Profile: Skids has a tendency to bump into things, which, at speeds of 60 mph, can be a very unhealthy habit. It's not that he's reckless... he's just a bit of a daydreamer. His analyzer circuitry is frequently pondering some arcane data about Earthen life forms rather than the Decepticons' latest attack. Usually he can rouse himself out of his daze before it's too late, as evidenced by the screeching of his suddenly applied brakes when he's in his car mode. Given his former career on Cybertron as an anthropologist and researcher, he considers his new home - Earth - to be one vast laboratory of limitless opportunity. In fact, it would be perfect if it weren't for the war's interference. Often, his findings are of invaluable assistance to his fellow Autobots. "Sometimes I wonder if he knows who we're fighting," says Gears. Sometimes Skids wonders too. Abilities: Skids has an enormous memory storage capacity. He can record visual information virtually instantaneously, and has been known to scan an entire college library's collection in two hours. In Autobot mode, he carries a liquid nitrogen rifle, which shoots a stream of the super-cooled element up to 600 feet. He also uses an electron blaster, which emits a burst of 20,000 volts and can short-circuit virtually any mechanical foe. In car mode, his brakes, by far the best among the Autobots and courtesy of Wheeljack's genius, can decelerate him from 50 mph to zero within 25 feet. Of course, such sudden stops aren't too good for the well-being of any car, including Skids. Weaknesses: Skids isn't a very fast car. His daydreaming often puts him in very dangerous situations. Often, he can be trapped into letting his guard down when distracted by something that piques his scientific curiosity.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐SKULLCRUNCHER www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Skullcruncher.jpgALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON SUB-GROUP: HEADMASTER HUMAN COMPONENT: GRAX FUNCTION: SWAMP WARRIOR FIRST APPEARANCE: HEADMASTERS # 1 (Skullcruncher), HEADMASTERS # 2 (Grax) "Autobots are like bad fuel - weak and greasy." Profile: Like Weirdwolf, Skullcruncher has a bad habit of tipping off his enemies just before he strikes. Instead of talking to himself, Skullcruncher grinds his metal teeth, producing a sound like nails being scraped down a blackboard, only amplified tenfold. Apart from tipping off Autobots, it sets Decepticons on edge. No one wants Skullcruncher as a partner, and if they do get stuck with him, they do their best to avoid combat, knowing only too well what will precede it. Though he professes to hate the taste of Autobots, Skullcruncher goes about eating them (after they've run, and if he manages to catch them) with considerable zest and relish. It's rare that there's enough left of an Autobot to fill an energon pod after Skullcruncher's finished with him. Whether he actually digests his victims or just does it for the fun of it isn't clear. Though tough and strong, Skullcruncher is a bit of mental plodder, stopping to chew in the midst of a raging battle. Too much to think about tends to annoy Skullcruncher, so he focuses on one job (or meal!) at a time. His Nebulan partner is Grax, an industrialist who teamed up with Skullcruncher in order to eliminate his business rivals. Skullcruncher was less than impressed - his Nebulan victims were not even 'bite-size' snacks! Abilities: In robot mode, Skullcruncher uses a tissue demolecularization gun (he calls it a 'softening up' gun for a joke... or more likely because he can't get his vocal units around its proper name) to give an opponent's metal skin the consistency of rubber, making it easier to chew (and digest?) when he transforms to alligator mode. He's even slower in alligator mode than he is in robot mode, and though he's deadly, he's also easy to avoid. Weaknesses: Skullcruncher's slow, ponderous, and clumsy approach to stalking a victim makes him not only an easy Decepticon to evade, but also a sitting target for retaliatory action. Only his thick armor plating and tanklike advances keep him alive... and full!

🌐 The Global Network 🌐SKULLGRIN www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Skullgrin.jpgALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON SUB-GROUP: PRETENDER FUNCTION: SIEGE WARRIOR FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 40 "Those who stand against me shall soon fall before me!" Profile: When Skullgrin dons his synthoplasmic outer shell, he becomes a monster in more than just appearance alone! Where the robot Skullgrin is cold and logical in his approach to warfare, the Pretender Skullgrin is a brutal, uncontrollable engine of destruction who won't stop attacking until everything is destroyed (or someone manages to stop him). How and why is still a mystery, but the theory is that his outer shell has a personality of its own, and when Skullgrin is inside, he loses himself in it. The other Decepticons aren't complaining, though. It's well known that Skullgrin tends to get somewhat distracted when he's on a mission or even in the middle of a pitched battle. Earth fascinates him and he's eager to sample the planet's delights, even if it means neglecting his duty. He's also quite vain, liking attention. The Pretender Skullgrin is usually quite the opposite. He won't be stopped, won't be frightened off, and can't be bargained with. When the job's done, when all that remains of his foe is a few metal scraps, that's when he will stop. Because his intelligence is somewhat limited in Pretender mode, Skullgrin is always eager to lead the charge into battle - and he never, ever retreats. Needless to say, none of his fellow Decepticons ever try to dissuade him from this course of action. After all, as they say, there's gotta be someone dumb enough to do it! At times, the Pretender Skullgrin's behavior becomes quite erratic, even for him, possibly as a result of the two disparate personalities trying to interface on the same level. This could account for the uncharacteristic lack of hostility and extreme vanity he displayed when he briefly became a movie star. At times, there can be something of a communication problem. When he's in Pretender mode, Skullgrin often tends to communicate in a series of snorts and snarls. Abilities: In Pretender mode, Skullgrin wields a terrorizing slagmaker carbine - its heat beam capable of melting metal up to four inches thick - and a metal-rending vibro sword. The constantly changing energy field around the sword means it can both cut and scramble circuits at the same time. His outer shell is very strong, able to resist artillery hits, and it enhances his strength tenfold. Out of his shell, Skullgrin transforms into a shrapnel-blasting assault tank. He can fire energy beams or shells that explode in midair, firing deadly shrapnel in all directions. As with all Pretenders, Skullgrin is able to mentally control his outer shell when he is not in it, literally splitting himself into two warriors. Weaknesses: Skullgrin has hardly any weak points when he's in his outer shell. His only real weaknesses stem from his lack of intelligence. Not only is it sometimes hard for him to make himself understood, but he sometimes gets so carried away in the heat of the battle that he's as much a danger to his fellow Decepticons as he is to his enemies.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐SKYDIVE www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Skydive.jpgALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT SUB-GROUP: AERIALBOT FUNCTION: AIR WARFARE STRATEGIST FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 21 "Only by studying the past can we win the present." Profile: Skydive is more interested in reading about jet fighters than being one. He's more likely to have his face stuck in a book about World War II air battles than to be in the air himself. It's not that he's a coward - he's just fascinated by the science of aerial warfare. But even though he's a somewhat reluctant member of the Aerialbot team, he is invaluable - his knowledge of aerial military tactics is without equal. The other Aerialbots constantly look to him to plan strategy, a responsibility Skydive sometimes finds to be daunting given his extreme modesty. His biggest fault, if you could call it that, is he doesn't realize how smart he really is. At least everyone else around him does. Abilities: The information-storage capacity of Skydive's cerebro-circuitry is greater than most Transformers'. This enables him to record instantaneously any flying motions he sees, and, within the limits of his design, duplicate them himself. Thus, he's able to simulate the techniques of World War II aces he's studied on film as well as the gliding patterns of birds he's watched in person. He is possibly the most skilled flyer of all the flying Transformers. His maximum speed is Mach 2.6 and range is 1400 miles. In jet mode, he can shoot laser-guided missiles with a range of 80 miles. In robot mode, he uses a nega-gun, which shoots a beam that cancels the bonding force between molecules. Only objects held together by the strongest molecular bonds can resist crumbling to dust when hit by the beam. He combines with his fellow Aerialbots to form the giant robot known as Superion. Weaknesses: Sometimes, in duplicating the flight of another, Skydive pushes his design beyond its limits. This often results in mid-air stalls. He can usually recover before crashing, but while stalled, he is completely vulnerable to attack.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐SKY LYNX www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Sky_Lynx1.jpgwww.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Sky_Lynx2.jpgALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT FUNCTION: LIEUTENANT COMMANDER FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 36 "The best achievements are worth repeating." Profile: Sky Lynx is a mass of silvery steel cables ready to spring into action at a moment's notice. He seethes with explosive energy, rarely being able to stand still for more than a second. If he has nothing better to do, he will transform from one mode to another just to keep busy. When he's in action, instinct seemingly takes over. He moves with a fluid feline grace, and with a purposelessness that befits one as fearless and daring as he. He basks in the glory of battle. He believes himself superior to many of his fellow Autobots, a feeling that he thinks is justified by his high rank and prodigious fighting skills. He exhibits this feeling by his physical behavior: He rarely touches the ground to stand on the same level as the other Autobots. Usually, he's either flying above them or else he's perched on some structure so he can loom over them and make them look up to him. In his puma mode, he will leap from building to building, tree to tree, and hilltop to hilltop rather than travel on the ground. Many of the other Autobots resent this behavior, which often causes problems when Sky Lynx tries to command others. But generally, Sky Lynx is admired by his fellow Autobots for his versatility, skill, and bravery. In the middle of a war, these are the qualities that count. Abilities: In space shuttle mode, Sky Lynx has interplanetary travel capabilities. He can reach speeds of 30,000 mph and has a range of 40,000,000 miles. In dinobird mode, he has a maximum speed of 250 mph and a range of 3,000 miles. He can shoot a stream of fire from his mouth and hit a target up to 3 miles away. He generally uses this mode to fly in suborbital space and his shuttle mode to fly in orbital and outer space. He is, however, far more maneuverable and effective as a fighter in dinobird mode, so he will sometimes revert to this mode in outer space. In puma mode, he can leap up to 1.5 miles at a time. Rear-mounted rocket thrusters can propel him up to 40,000 feet in altitude, allowing him to intercept and attack Decepticon jets. In all modes, he has great strength and is impervious to all but the most powerful energy beam weapons and artillery. Weaknesses: Sky Lynx is prone to wasting fuel due to his habit of constantly moving even when he has no reason to move.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐Printer-friendly version SKYWARP www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Skywarp1.jpgALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON FUNCTION: WARRIOR FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 1 "Strike when the enemy isn't looking." Profile: Skywarp is the sneakiest of the Decepticons. On Cybertron he was known to appear out of nowhere in the middle of peaceful Autobot villages to rain terror and destruction upon them, if the mood hit him. He'll even use his teleportation powers to play a prank on a fellow Decepticon. Everyone enjoys this except the butt of his joke since Skywarp's sense of humor tends to be rather cruel and physically abusive. Skywarp isn't too smart and would be totally useless without the supervision of Megatron. Abilities: Skywarp can reach a top speed of 1500 mph. But what makes him unique is his ability to instantly teleport himself a maximum distance of 2.5 miles. He also carries a heat-seeking missile launcher and a variable-caliber machine gun. Weaknesses: Skywarp's control of the accuracy of his teleportation power diminishes as the distance he teleports increases. As a result, if he's not too careful, he's likely to crash into things when he arrives at where he's teleporting. Not being too bright doesn't help him avoid these accidents either.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐SLAG www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Slag1.jpgALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT SUB-GROUP: DINOBOT FUNCTION: FLAMETHROWER FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 4 "I have no need for friends, even less for enemies." Profile: Maybe Slag enjoys his job too much - after all, a more sensitive Autobot might regret the waste involved in reducing an enemy to a smoldering pool of liquid metal. Not Slag. If his metal hide could take the heat, Slag would swim in the puddle to celebrate. Perhaps even more than his Dinobot brethren, Slag resents the authority of Optimus Prime, and he's not too keen on the other Autobots either. He's generally considered a disruptive force and has been known to get into brawls and turn his fiery breath against his comrades. Nasty and mean-spirited are perhaps the nicest things one can say about him. Abilities: In Dinobot mode, Slag can spew from his mouth a bolt of 3,000 degrees Centigrade flame up to 80 feet. He possesses enormous strength and can shatter a brick building with a single blow from his armored head. In Autobot mode he carries a high-energy laser rifle. Weaknesses: Slag is his own worst enemy. His misanthropic personality often persuades some of the other Autobots not to help him when he's in trouble. He's rash and not too bright, qualities which often put him in dangerous predicaments.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐SLINGSHOT www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Slingshot.jpgALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT SUB-GROUP: AERIALBOT FUNCTION: GROUND TROOP SUPPORT FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 21 "I'm even better than I think." Profile: Slingshot won't ever win a Mr. Popularity contest. He's an incessant braggart, even when he's done absolutely nothing to brag about. He likes to take credit for the exploits of others, a thoroughly annoying habit that never fails to elicit animosity from his fellow Aerialbots. Most of the other Autobots are also aware of Slingshot's rotten personality and would prefer he removed himself from their struggle against the Decepticons. But, much to the surprise of almost everyone, Autobot leader Optimus Prime turns a blind optical sensor to Slingshot's faults, and instead is very supportive of him. Optimus Prime realizes, and he may be the only one who does, that Slingshot acts this way to disguise his own lack of confidence - he's the slowest and has the least range of all the Aerialbots and feels inferior as a result. Despite everything else, Slingshot is a loyal and hardworking soldier, qualities that Optimus Prime believes merit his understanding and trust. Abilities: Slingshot is a VTOL - a vertical take-off-and-landing aircraft, which means he can shoot straight up off the ground like a rocket and needs only a launching pad, not a long runway, to take off from and land upon. Although the slowest of the Aerialbots - his maximum speed is Mach 1.6 - he's the most maneuverable. He can virtually turn, in mid-air, on the proverbial dime. His range is 800 miles. He is also the best sharpshooter of the Aerialbots - his twin mortar cannons can hit a highway stop sign six miles away. In robot mode, he uses with extreme accuracy a neutron rifle, which shoots packets of neutrons at two hundred rounds per second. A short barrage can level a city block. He combines with his fellow Aerialbots to form the giant robot known as Superion. Weaknesses: Slingshot's unorthodox method of flying takes its toll on his equipment - he requires 50% more maintenance than his fellow Aerialbots. Their dislike for him often results in their leaving him behind in dangerous situations to fend for himself.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐SLUDGE www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Sludge1.jpgALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT SUB-GROUP: DINOBOT FUNCTION: JUNGLE WARRIOR, DEMOLITIONS FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 4 "Stomp your enemy, crush him under your feet." Profile: Sludge likes to make his presence known. A few steps of his incredibly lumbering legs and everyone within a three-mile radius can hear - and feel - that he's around. But his awesome physical appearance belies his unusually gentle and shy nature. Like his fellow Dinobot, Slag, he is not happy with the leadership of Optimus Prime. He feels, however, the Autobot cause is more important than any personal misgivings and so he rarely exhibits his feelings. Such is not the case when Sludge is fired to battle - he then becomes a terrifying, unstoppable force. Abilities: In Dinobot mode, Sludge can exert pressure up to 40,000 pounds per square inch with a single step, enough force to shatter a bridge or even crack a mountain. Only a handful of his comrades can match his immense strength and endurance. His armored hide can withstand all but the most powerful blasts. He's adept at operating in watery and swampy environments and in jungles. Weaknesses: Sludge is often victim to the calamities he causes. Often his fellow Autobots must dig him out of the rubble he's brought down upon himself. Perhaps if he were more clever he'd figure out ways to avoid these predicaments. He's very slow due to his huge bulk.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐SLUGFEST www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Slugfest1.jpgALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON FUNCTION: MESSENGER FIRST APPEARANCE: - "Expect betrayal and your friends won't disappoint you." Profile: Slugfest is as lumbering and dim-witted as he looks. The Decepticons can only count on him to do the simplest of tasks, which means he's usually limited to carrying messages in his cassette mode. This arrangement would be fine if Slugfest wasn't so nosy. Invariably, he plays back the messages for himself before he delivers them, and then misinterprets them to be about himself. This sends him into violent rages, since he hates when others talk behind his back. At such times, he attacks anyone and anything, friend or foe. Only force or lack of fuel stops him. Very often the end result of one of these tantrums is the inadvertent destruction of the message he carries, as well as any small towns that happen to get in the way. Abilities: In cassette mode, Slugfest has a vast data storage capacity. He can record and store up to 1.2 billion bits of data via visual, audio and electrical inputs. In stegosaurus mode, he can use the armored plates on his back like the teeth of a chainsaw to cut through virtually any substance. He carries two side-mounted solar-powered vibro-cannons. When fully charged (after at least an hour's exposure to sunlight), the vibro-cannons can shoot beams of harmonic sonic energy that can shatter a bridge. Weaknesses: In addition to being slow and stupid, Slugfest is prone to jamming when he's playing back messages in his cassette mode. In stegosaurus mode, his leg joints often lock into place, hobbling or even immobilizing him.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐SLUGSLINGER www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Slugslinger.jpgALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON SUB-GROUP: TARGETMASTER HUMAN COMPONENT: CALIBURST FUNCTION: AIR DEFENSE FIRST APPEARANCE: HEADMASTERS # 1 (Slugslinger), HEADMASTERS # 4 (Caliburst) "The only way to survive a duel with me is to not show up." Profile: Despite all his claims to the contrary, this brawling, swaggering braggart would rather shoot someone in the back than face him in a duel. His courage runs out when his ammunition does. Those who know the true Slugslinger understand that beneath his battle-worn armor-plated exterior lies a cowardly tangle of twitching circuits. To deflect these opinions, he goes out of his way to show off his bravado - as long as he isn't in any danger. He also recalls, with tedious regularity, exploits from his past that illustrate his unsurpassed courage and awesome accomplishments. But these remembrances derive more from his imagination than fact. If the Decepticons didn't find Slugslinger's pomposity so amusing, they probably would have scrapped him a long time ago. Slugslinger's partner is Caliburst, a one-time star actor on the planet Nebulos. Known more for being a ham than being good, Caliburst sought a stage where his theatrical skills would be better appreciated... and rewarded. He found it when he met the Decepticons, who offered him a significant quantity of money to join them. Bio-engineered to be Slugslinger's weapon, Caliburst's cool demeanor strikes fear into most opponents. Little do they know that he is even more scared than they are. But, being the trained actor that he is, he doesn't allow his true feelings to enter into his performance. Abilities: Slugslinger transforms into a bi-jet, which has a double cockpit. Either one is capable of controlling the craft. In this mode, he is fitted with two turbo-jets and two solid-fuel afterburners. When the afterburners kick in, he can achieve a maximum speed of 2,400 mph which allows him to achieve sub-orbital altitudes. His range is 3,800 miles. Caliburst transforms into an automatic machine gun, which shoots 1,200 rounds of armor-piercing shells per minute. In either of his modes, Slugslinger can wield weapon-mode Caliburst. Weaknesses: Caliburst often jams while transforming to or from weapon-mode. He gets locked in a position that leaves him useless as a weapon or a person. After flying to his maximum altitude, Slugslinger often re-enters the lower atmosphere too quickly, and begins burning up as a result.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐SMOKESCREEN www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Smokescreen.jpgALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT FUNCTION: DIVERSIONARY TACTICIAN FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 14 "A look can be deceiving; a touch can be lethal." Profile: Whether engaged in raging battle or friendly conversation, seldom is Smokescreen up to what he appears to be up to. More likely, an ulterior purpose exists. In combat, his job is to lead the enemy astray, to prevent him from discovering the true nature of an Autobot strategy until it is too late for the enemy to counter it. It is a job he performs with great proficiency. His duplicity carries over to his personal affairs as well. Charming and affable, it is easy for Smokescreen to use his genuine camaraderie with his fellow Autobots in order to root out their deepest concerns. And, at Optimus Prime's request, that is exactly what Smokescreen does, because Optimus feels that his role as Autobot leader creates a personal barrier between himself and his followers that he cannot overcome alone. Strangely enough, in Optimus' eyes, the most devious of the Autobots is also the most trusted. Abilities: In car mode, Smokescreen can emit from his tailpipe a thick, black cloud of smoke that has the additional property of gravitating toward metallic objects, such as enemy Decepticons. In robot mode, his twin shoulder-mounted launchers shoot missiles that shatter into thousands of shards that produce a variety of radio signals, magnetic fields and infrared waves, wreaking havoc on the radar and guidance systems of enemy aircraft. His disruptor rifle shoots a web of electrical energy that can short out and interfere with the proper operation of any electrically powered target. Weaknesses: With proper shielding, an opponent can successfully withstand many of Smokescreen's weapons, usually leaving him in a relatively weak position since he's not that powerful on his own.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐SNAPDRAGON www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Snapdragon.jpgALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON SUB-GROUP: HEADMASTER HUMAN COMPONENT: KRUNK FUNCTION: INTERCEPTOR FIRST APPEARANCE: HEADMASTERS # 1 "If it doesn't get you dirty, it's not worth doing." Profile: Wading up to his neck in grease is Snapdragon's idea of a good time. And if a grease pit isn't handy, he'd be just as happy cracking open an enemy and bathing in his fuel. Not surprisingly, Snapdragon drips a petrochemical trail wherever he goes. His penchant for lotting around on his back in sludge pools gives many the impression that Snapdragon is lazy and difficult to motivate. He is. But he also hides a hair-trigger temper. Cross him and he'll rip your chest plate off with a lightning-fast slash of his claws. When Snapdragon says he doesn't want to be disturbed, he means it. Krunk, the Nebulan to whom Snapdragon is binary-bonded, lives in perpetual fear of the Decepticon even though, in theory, Krunk controls the mind they share. He's seen the result of Snapdragon's temper enough times to worry about his own safety. And although Krunk knows that without a head Snapdragon is non-functional, he still fears him. He wonders if the inert Decepticon will suddenly slash out at him. He's too scared of the Decepticon to even tell him how much he loathes grease pits. Other than Snapdragon, there is very little that Krunk fears. Until his recruitment by Lord Zarak as a Headmaster, Krunk was a merciless kidnaper, earning his living by extorting huge citizens. When Lord Zarak caught Krunk trying to kidnap his own daughter, Llyra, he gave the criminal a choice - swear eternal loyalty to him or die. Krunk chose the former, and, in fact, now serves as a bodyguard of sorts for Lord Zarak and his family. Krunk is vulgar, vile and vicious; his sole redeeming quality is his sense of loyalty to Lord Zarak - the greatest traitor in Nebulan history. Abilities: In jet mode, Snapdragon uses dual turbo-booster rocket engines to reach speeds of 4800 mph. Four independently targetable laser cannons mounted on his tailwings make him a challenge to anyone flying within 12 miles. In reptile mode, Snapdragon has heat-treated carbon-steel claws and teeth that can cut through virtually any substance. In robot mode, he uses a gyro-gun, which interferes with the balancing circuitry of any robot its beam hits. Weaknesses: A defect in the crystalline structure of Snapdragon's steel skin is the reason for his habit of taking grease baths. Without near-constant lubrication, his skin becomes brittle and is prone to cracking.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐SNARL www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Snarl1.jpgALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT SUB-GROUP: DINOBOT FUNCTION: DESERT WARRIOR FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 4 "Only in war is there happiness." Profile: An Autobot of few words and fewer opinions, Snarl grudgingly follows the orders of Dinobot leader Grimlock and leaves the thinking to others. He's generally unhappy and a loner, and his uncommunicative nature only adds to his feelings of isolation. Only the thrill of battle can elevate his spirits. In fact, few of his comrades experience the joyous heights that Snarl attains while locked in mortal combat. But for him war is an all too brief respite from the twin devils that haunt his miserable existence: the ungainly dinosaur form the Ark has bestowed upon him and the knowledge he may never see his beloved Cybertron again. Abilities: His unique design makes Snarl particularly useful in sunny, arid environments. The large golden plates protruding from his spinal assembly are solar collectors. Although he can operate without sunlight, solar energy can increase his strength tenfold and his endurance to a virtually limitless degree. A swipe of his tail can shatter a 20-foot concrete cube. His heavily armored hide makes him resistant to most missile fire. Weaknesses: Snarl's dependency on sunlight makes him extremely vulnerable to attack at night. Although he can use the same fuel the other Autobots use, he operates at only a fraction of his strength when he does. He is also very slow and his uncooperative behavior patterns sometimes hinder his effectiveness in dangerous situations.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐SOUNDWAVE www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Soundwave.jpgALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON FUNCTION: COMMUNICATIONS FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 1 "Cries and screams are music to my ears." Profile: It is said that Soundwave can hear a fly sneeze. It is also said that beneath his smooth-talking, affable surface beats the generator coil of a blackmailer. Those who know these two facts about him are very careful about what they say within earshot of him. Soundwave is the ultimate opportunist and will use anything he can to advance his status in the eyes of the Decepticon Leader Megatron. He doesn't worry about what others think of him because he knows he is nearly indispensable. Although they all despise him, the other Decepticons pretend to like him rather than get on his bad side. As Rumble explains, "Soundwave always has the last laugh." Abilities: Soundwave's sensors can detect radio transmissions of the lowest energy levels. He can even "read minds" by monitoring the electrical impulses inside someone's brain circuitry, if he's standing nearby. He serves as the Decepticons' communications relay station - he can keep them all in radio contact with each other within a radius of 100 miles. His photographic memory is due to the immense information storage capacity of the magnetic disks in his chest. He carries a high-amplification directional radiowave sensor and a concussion blaster-gun. He also has great physical strength. Weaknesses: Soundwave sometimes gets overconfident about his value to the others. At times his hateful personality has resulted in retaliation from them, or worse yet, his abandonment during battle with the Autobots. So far, Soundwave has not only survived these incidents, but has seen to it that his betrayers pay for their actions.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐SPINISTER www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Spinister1.jpgALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON SUB-GROUP: TARGETMASTER HUMAN COMPONENTS: SINGE AND HAIRSPLITTER FUNCTION: AERIAL ASSAULT FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 62 "Respect your foes' abilities as you would your own." Profile: Spinister is as mysterious to his fellow Decepticons as he is to his enemies. He says little about himself and reveals even less. But in action he is as deadly as a computer virus. "I don't care if he never utters another word, as long as he keeps scrapping Autobots," says Decepticon Commander Megatron of this eerie aerial adventurer. "We have enough big-talk, small-results types here already." Spinister's favorite and most effective battle tactic is to sneak up on unwary Autobots, scare them, fly away... and then return to destroy them while their guards are down. How this loner manages to surprise as many opponents as he does is a secret to which not even his commanding officers are privy. But the suspicion among many Decepticons is that Spinister has developed a "cloaking" system - a technology that allows him to turn invisible and avoid detection - that he refuses to share with his comrades... just in case he should decide to one day use it against them. Spinister is binary-bonded to two Nebulans, Singe and Hairsplitter. Singe was the playboy son of one of Nebulos's leading families. He signed up with the Decepticons soon after he publicly declared his sympathies were with Lord Zarak in his struggle against Zarak's Nebulan rival, Galen, and the Autobots. Singe was motivated by his feelings for Zarak's daughter, Llyra, whose affections he had lost years earlier to Galen. He saw the opportunity to destroy Galen as his chance to win her back. But once he went into exile with his fellow Decepticon-allied Nebulans he had no opportunity to put his theory into effect, leaving him a bitter, lonely hate-filled warrior. Hairsplitter is just happy to be in an organization in which he feels wanted. On Nebulos he was an ecological efficiency expert whose job primarily consisted of writing memos that pinpointed waste in the Nebulos Department of the Environment and assigned blame to those bureaucrats responsible for the waste. He was not very popular among his co-workers. He agreed to undergo the bio-engineering process that would binary bond him to Spinister when Lord Zarak told him that his talent for spotting slackers would be welcomed by Scorponok, commander of the contingent of Decepticons on Nebulos. Abilities: Spinister transforms into an assault helicopter equipped with two batteries of automatic particle beam cannons and two remote control-guided fusion bombs. His maximum speed is 520 miles per hour and his range is 1300 miles. Singe converts to a double-barrelled nuclear-powered flamethrower. He can adjust the heat in his flame so that he can do anything from lightly toasting a target at temperatures in the 140 degrees Fahrenheit range to melting an enemy Autobot into a pool of slag at temperatures up to 3200 degrees. Hairsplitter converts to twin lock-target laser rifles. He is renowned for his accuracy and has been known to etch his name on a microchip positioned two miles away with his laser beams. Spinister can use both weapons in robot and helicopter modes. He can also combine the two Nebulans to form one super-weapon, which retains the offensive features of its component parts. Weaknesses: Spinister's rotor blades are prone to stress fractures after 12,000 miles of continued use. The blades require a vigilant maintenance schedule to avoid inflight failure.

Profile: Springer is a wise-cracking, easy-going, sharp-witted and somewhat caustic fighting Autobot. He has an unfailing optimism and good humor and courage beyond known bounds, and with it all, the willingness to sacrifice himself for his friends and the sake of his mission. Abilities: Springer has an incredible springing power, enabling him to cover distances by springing pogo stick-like by using the strength in his mighty legs. This he does in his robotic mode and his physique is heavily powerful, his chest massive, his arms enormous and well proportioned like the most massive body-builder. When he transforms, his automotive mode is super-powerful with the attributes of battle tank and speedcar combined. In robot mode, he carries a laser that produces giant wind funnels. His helicopter blade transforms into a light saber that can cut through concrete.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐SQUEEZEPLAY www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Squeezeplay.jpgALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON SUB-GROUP: HEADMASTER HUMAN COMPONENT: LOKOS FUNCTION: SABOTEUR FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 46 "Place brawn before brains and victory is yours." Profile: A one-robot wrecking crew, Squeezeplay rarely stops to think as he charges into battle. He's not stupid by any means; he simply doesn't believe there exists a foe or an object that can stand in his way. Terrifying and relentless, the sight of Squeezeplay has unnerved some of the coolest Autobots. With slashing, crushing claws and needle-sharp armor-piercing fangs, Squeezeplay has more than enough might to back up his 'unstoppable' claim. He doesn't rely on cunning or tactics, thinking these things weak. Might is everything to Squeezeplay, and he has no time for thinkers. Detesting weakness in any form, Squeezeplay makes enemies within his own ranks as easily as he makes them outside. Like his sometime battle partner Fangry, he needs no telling. If the enemy is in sight, it is there to be crushed... and he's just the robot to do it. His Nebulan partner, Lokos, is a hardened criminal, specializing in smuggling and air piracy. He revels in Squeezeplay's power and steers it towards personal advancement. As long as Squeezeplay gets his fill of chaos and carnage, he's content to let Lokos indulge himself. It doesn't quite suit Lokos's sneaky nature, but when you've the might of Squeezeplay on tap - who cares? Abilities: Very strong and armed with an overrider blaster that overloads and blows out electrical circuits, Squeezeplay is a force to be reckoned with in robot mode. But it still pales before his crab mode. Dense armor plating and titanium-reinforced claws that can slice through almost any substance make Squeezeplay a deadly opponent. He uses his tail as a metal-rending mace. At home on land or deep underwater, Squeezeplay is an expert at deep-sea sabotage, able to resist vast ocean pressures. Weaknesses: Squeezeplay has almost no actual weaknesses, but he is by no means indestructible. His refusal to believe anyone can harm him could be a literally fatal flaw.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐STARSCREAM www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Starscream.jpgALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON FUNCTION: DECEPTICON AEROSPACE COMMANDER FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 1 "Conquest is made of the ashes of one's enemies." Profile: Starscream makes no secret of his ambition to overthrow Megatron as Decepticon Leader. He is ruthless, cold-blooded and cruel. In that sense the two rivals are very much alike. But he has a vain side that clearly distinguishes him. He considers himself the most sophisticated and handsome of the Decepticons. He exudes a high-class, urbane air that provides a certain irony to his murderous tendencies. He looks down at Megatron for being antiquated in his military strategy. Starscream believes the Decepticons should rely more on guile and speed rather than brute, destructive force to defeat the Autobots. Megatron overlooks the potential threat Starscream represents for one very good reason: Starscream is very good at his job. Abilities: Starscream is one of the fastest flyers of the Decepticons, reaching speeds up to Mach 2.8. He can climb to sub-orbital altitudes of 52 miles and nose-dive down to near ground level in mere minutes. This makes him particularly effective in surprise attacks and hit-and-run actions. He can shoot cluster bombs a distance of 40 miles, each of which can level an area 10,000 feet square. His null-ray rifle can interrupt the flow of electricity in any circuitry it hits for periods of up to two minutes, effectively preventing the operation of many machines dependent on those circuits during that period. Weaknesses: Starscream overrates himself sometimes, and finds himself in situations that are more than he can handle. His nose-dives often overload his gyro-circuitry leaving him disoriented briefly. But, overall, he is a very tough nut to crack.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐STEELJAW www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Steeljaw1.jpgALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT FUNCTION: TRACKER FIRST APPEARANCE: G.I. JOE # 142 "What the eyes don't see, the nose knows." Profile: When Steeljaw is on the hunt, his prey is as good as caught. His unyielding determination and tenacious pursuit combine to make him a truly formidable Autobot. He handles each mission with a cool professionalism born of the great confidence he has in his abilities. When he's not busy stalking Decepticons, he's likely to turn his attention to any scent that comes his way - the spoor of a mouse, the stench of a garbage truck, even the perfume of a young woman. This often results in a frightening surprise for his unsuspecting quarry. Steeljaw usually doesn't mean any harm on these occasions - he just likes his work so much that it's also his hobby. Abilities: In lion mode, Steeljaw uses an array of chemical receptor microchips in his nose module to locate and follow scents. The array is sensitive enough to pick up chemical traces in the air as faint as one part per trillion. He has a range of 800 miles and requires little rest or maintenance. His jaw has tremendous strength; anyone caught in its grip would find it next to impossible to break. It can exert a force of 60,000 psi and can snap a foot-diameter steel cable. In cassette mode, Steeljaw can electromagnetize himself so he can adhere to ferrous objects. He uses this ability to hitch rides over long distances in a form that won't attract much attention. Weaknesses: Steeljaw must avoid wet environments since his body is particularly vulnerable to rusting.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐STRAFE www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Strafe1.jpgALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT SUB-GROUP: TECHNOBOT FUNCTION: AERIAL GUNNER FIRST APPEARANCE: HEADMASTERS # 3 "Shoot everywhere - since that's where the enemies are." Profile: Before you walk up and say hello to Strafe, you'd better run for cover... because this high-strung, hair-trigger Technobot is more likely to spray you with weapons fire than shake your hand. He's not mean or murderous... he's just nervous. Too much quiet makes his circuits tingle. Sudden noises can cause him to pop a few plugs. So rather than remain calm in these situations, Strafe has developed the annoying habit of shooting first and asking questions later. And that's too bad, because once he lowers his guns, Strafe becomes one of the kindest, gentlest Autobots of all. Unfortunately, few ever get close enough to him to find this out for themselves. Abilities: Oddly enough, despite all his wild shooting sprees, Strafe is an expert marksman. When he wants to, he can burn a hole through a screw head from two miles away with the searing beam of the heat-ray rifle that he carries in robot mode. In his vehicle mode, he can achieve a maximum ground speed of 250 mph. He can also engage his rear retro-rocket boosters, which allow him to fly at a maximum speed of 580 mph with a 3,000 mile range. In all his modes, he exhibits lightning-fast reflexes. He can outmaneuver a heat-seeking missile and make a right turn at maximum flying speed in the space of a quarter-mile. He combines with his fellow Technobots to form the super-robot Computron. Weaknesses: Strafe has a tendency to stall in mid-air during some of his more daring maneuvers. The wasteful manner in which he uses his weapons often leaves him lacking ammunition in battle situations when he truly needs it.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐STREETWISE www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Streetwise.jpgALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT SUB-GROUP: PROTECTOBOT FUNCTION: INTERCEPTOR FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 24 "You have to know where you are before you know what to do." Profile: Nothing escapes Streetwise's notice. He dutifully records the most seemingly insignificant details knowing full well he may have use of such information later. So readily does he adapt to any environment that his fellow Protectobots suspect he possesses a mysterious eighth sense in addition to the seven standard senses with which he was built (sight, hearing, touch, smell, short-range radiowave transmission, magnetic sensitivity, and electric sensitivity). The truth is, Streetwise simply has an amazing capacity for understanding. He easily grasps local dialects; slang expressions instantly become part of his vocabulary. Once he sees a map of a new city, he drives through its streets as if he were born there. And he's as doggedly determined as he is clever. Nothing can deter Streetwise from seeking his prey - except an empty fuel tank. Abilities: In car mode, Streetwise can reach speeds of 180 mph. His range is 400 miles. His trunk-mounted double-barrelled air-compressor cannon compresses air and then shoots it a distance of 50 miles with enough power to knock a jet out of the sky. In robot mode, he carries a photon pistol that shoots light bursts with the equivalent brightness of 5,000-watt light bulbs, enough to temporarily blind all but those whose optical sensors are the most heavily shielded. He combines with his fellow Protectobots to form the giant robot known as Defensor. Weaknesses: In car mode, Streetwise sometimes overheats as a result of the unceasing manner in which he hunts his enemies.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐Printer-friendly version SUNSTORM www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Sunstorm1.jpgALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON FUNCTION: AEROSPACE WARRIOR FIRST APPEARANCE: Dreamwave's GENERATION ONE, vol. 3 # 1 "Unchecked power is the true path to divinity." Profile: Sunstorm's original manufacturing took place during a fierce period of insurgency in one of Cybertron's chief industrial sectors. As the result of a riot at a nearby power substation, quality control was disrupted along the assembly line for Sunstorm's model type, and a host of electromagnetic anomalies crept into his individual design. These anomalies produce a continual cascading effect in Sunstorm's primary fusion reactor, allowing it to operate at power levels that are far greater - and far more hazardous - than those of his fellow Decepticons. Consequently, Sunstorm is engaged in a near-constant struggle to control the energy emissions that radiate from his superstructure, lest they cause severe damage to the systems of those around him. Sunstorm's unique condition has bred in him a zealous belief that his strength and abilities derive from some mystical source, and that the potential immensity of his power is indicative of some supernatural endowment. He will often make rambling statements that appear to his fellow Decepticons as nothing more than senseless babble, but the truth to these outbursts is far more disconcerting: Sunstorm is nearly convinced that he is in fact a living god! Abilities: In vehicle mode, Sunstorm's top atmospheric speed is just under Mach 2.0, though he is capable of reaching interstellar velocities well in excess of 15,000 kilometers per hour. In truth, he is capable of space travel at speeds that are virtually immeasurable, based on the untested capacity of his power core. He wields two mass driver cannons in robot mode which fire high-speed projectiles capable of punching though most types of advanced Cybertronian armor. In jet mode, he is armed with two heat-seeking missile launchers. When Sunstorm is able to maintain full control of his reactor core, he is capable of using it to generate incredibly powerful bursts of electromagnetic radiation. Weaknesses: Sunstorm's peculiar habits, in addition to the deleterious effects that he is capable of causing teammates by his sheer presence, frequently causes him to be excluded from official missions. In jet mode, he rarely employs his own heat-seeking missiles - on the occasion his target evades their reach, the missiles are liable to turn back and target his own substantial heat signature!

🌐 The Global Network 🌐Who's Who in the Transformers Universe Printer-friendly version SUPERION www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Superion.jpgALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT SUB-GROUP: AERIALBOT FUNCTION: WARRIOR FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 21 "To live is to fight; to die is to stop." Profile: Superion is a fierce and frightful machine. As the collective consciousness of the five Aerialbots, Air Raid, Skydive, Fireflight, Slingshot and Silverbolt, he might find it confusing and unproductive to assimilate each of his component personalities into one. Therefore, he suppresses much of what is potentially more than he can handle and directs his thinking to one primary purpose: the destruction of the Decepticons. And that's about all he's good for. Little else interests him; he's unlikely to even engage in conversation about anything else. The other Autobots take this to be a cold and aloof attitude, as if Superion held himself above them. In truth, it is the most Superion can give of himself. Abilities: Superion can fly at speeds up to 800 mph. His range is 5800 miles. His strength is formidable; he can demolish a battleship with one blow. The stress fracture cannon he carries shoots a beam that locates and then overloads the natural fracture lines in any object it hits. The result can be anything from cracking open a peanut shell to causing a small earthquake. Weaknesses: Superion finds it difficult to adapt to new situations and to be innovative. His thought processes are too primitive to allow for such higher mental functions. This often restricts him in battle. Although incredibly strong and resistant to most artillery and beam weapons, he does have certain "pressure points" - areas of structural weakness where one component Aerialbot connects to the next - that are particularly vulnerable to attack.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐SURESHOT www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Sureshot.jpgALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT SUB-GROUP: TARGETMASTER HUMAN COMPONENT: SPOILSPORT FUNCTION: SHARPSHOOTER FIRST APPEARANCE: HEADMASTERS # 1 (Sureshot), HEADMASTERS # 4 (Spoilsport) "Believing in yourself improves your aim better than target practice." Profile: Sureshot established his gunslinging reputation on his home planet of Cybertron millions of years ago, before the Autobot-Decepticon War began. While still only a young prototype, he won the annual Intra-Formers Sharpshooting Competition against a veteran field that included Optimus Prime, Megatron and many other renowned marksmechs. Soon after, the war began and both sides eagerly sought Sureshot for his superior shooting skills. Optimus Prime convinced him to join the Autobots by granting him a degree of autonomy from the usual chain of command. Nowadays, Sureshot has a confidence in his abilities that borders on arrogance. He is quick to show off some of his more sensational talents, such as hitting targets blind-folded from memory. However, his recent experience on the planet Nebulos was a blow to his massive ego. Forced to surrender his weapons to the Nebulans for the sake of peace, he was paired with Spoilsport, a former Nebulan military officer. Spoilsport was bio-engineered to have the ability to transform into a twin laser cannon, Sureshot's former weapon. He needs no help to aim and shoot, and is as good a shot as Sureshot - a fact that never fails to irritate the Autobot. Sureshot feels unnecessary, unappreciated and is resentful of his Nebulan partner. The two only cooperate when their lives depend on it. Otherwise, they are unwilling - but extremely effective - allies. Abilities: Both Sureshot and Spoilsport are extremely skilled marksmechs. Either one can bullseye the head of a screw from up to six miles away. Spoilsport transforms to a dual laser cannon in 2.2 seconds. In this mode he shoots twin beams of high-energy laser light. Either beam can punch a hole through a small mountain. Sureshot transforms to a ground vehicle with a maximum speed of 290 mph and range of 1,200 miles. In either mode, Sureshot can wield weapon-mode Spoilsport. Weaknesses: Sureshot and Spoilsport are poorly matched personality-wise, which hampers their teamwork and cooperation at times. Spoilsport is prone to overheating if overused in weapons mode. He must revert to human mode to cool off.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐SWINDLE www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Swindle.jpgALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON SUB-GROUP: COMBATICON FUNCTION: MUNITIONS EXPERT FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 24 "Make deals, not war." Profile: Don't let Swindle's easy-going, good-natured personality fool you; within him beats the fuel pump of the most greed-driven street hustler. Without blinking an optical sensor, he'd trade Decepticon leader Megatron's right arm for a toaster if he needed the toaster badly enough (and if he could get the arm off of Megatron!). He is an opportunist without peer. He thrives on wheeling and dealing and seemingly is capable of procuring anything to fulfill the design and equipment needs of his armaments work. Although the weapons he builds are much appreciated, his fellow Combaticons know that Swindle's efforts on behalf of the Decepticons are a mere sideline to his actual purpose: He is solely concerned with himself, and most of his entrepreneurial activities are for his own personal material advancement. If he thought it were in his interest to trade with the enemy, the Autobots, he probably would. He is truly a one-robot "black market." Abilities: Perhaps Swindle's greatest talent is his gift of gab. He could probably sell oil to an Arab sheik, if given the chance. In both jeep and robot modes, he uses two weapons: a scatter blaster that shoots bursts of explosive buckshot-type pellets over a wide area, and a gyro-gun that disturbs the balance centers of Transformers, severely hampering their driving, flying, and/or walking. With his fellow Combaticons, Swindle combines to form the giant robot Bruticus. Weaknesses: In jeep mode, Swindle can't handle sharp turns at high speeds very well and is prone to overturning. Although his exterior is fairly well armored, a direct hit on his unprotected and open dashboard can easily disable him.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐SWOOP www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Swoop1.jpgALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT SUB-GROUP: DINOBOT FUNCTION: BOMBARDIER FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 4 "Fear can hit targets unreachable to bullets." Profile: Making a spectacular descent from the sky, Swoop watches with unhidden glee as his enemies scatter in terror before his looming presence. And that's just the way he likes it because he knows fear is a more effective weapon than any equipment he carries. Fear is also his greatest friend. His ability to cause it in others is the sole comfort he derives from the form generally considered the most horrifying of all the Dinobots. Even his comrades shy away from him. And that is Swoop's tragedy. Four million years ago, when the Ark adapted his Autobot body to resemble that of a pterodactyl's, he gladly accepted the disguise as his contribution to the Autobot cause. Little did he know back then that the good-natured, kind mechanoid that he was - and still is - would be disguised as well. Abilities: In flying mode, Swoop can soar up to 250 mph. Under each wing he carries an air-to-air missile launcher. Each missile is the equivalent of 5000 lbs. of TNT. Although the missiles have a range of 8 miles and are very accurate, Swoop's specialty is swooping down to low altitudes and releasing them virtually point blank at their targets, and then speeding away. In Autobot mode he can also use the launchers, as well as a thermal sword, which, by heating up to temperatures of 4000 degrees Centigrade, can slice through most materials by melting through them as it passes. Weaknesses: Although he's extremely maneuverable and has great endurance due to low fuel consumption, Swoop is vulnerable to enemy firepower due to the relatively fragile nature of his wings.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐TAILGATE www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Tailgate1.jpgALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT FUNCTION: SCOUT FIRST APPEARANCE: - "Let my fellow mechanical beings go!" Profile: In the words of Optimus Prime, "Tailgate sometimes has his mind stuck in low gear!" A lot of what Tailgate thinks is just plain screwy. Although he understands Earth traffic laws, he doesn't agree with many of them. For example, he believes the 55 mph speed limit is an infringement upon the personal rights of cars. In fact, all his views on Earth machines are warped. He likens cars locked in garages to imprisonment without a fair trial. He considers the buying and selling of household appliances to be slave trading. Efforts by his fellow Autobots to convince Tailgate that Earth machines are not alive, and therefore not entitled to the same rights as Transformers, have so far failed. "Only barbarians treat the lesser among them so cruelly," proclaims Tailgate. Unfortunately, the oppressed in this case can never appreciate the efforts of their would-be-savior. Tailgate is not a well robot. Abilities: In car mode, Tailgate can go as fast as 180 mph under his own power with a range of 600 miles. But a powerful ferrocobalt magnet under his hood allows him to be pulled by and within a few feet of any vehicle he chooses to follow, reducing his own fuel expenditure to nearly zero. His range has virtually no limit when he travels like this. Weaknesses: Tailgate is prone to overheating, particularly when he's all worked up over some imagined injustice done to a machine.
