🌐 The Global Network 🌐CLOUDRAKER ALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT SUB-GROUP: CLONE FUNCTION: SKY FIGHTER FIRST APPEARANCE: - "Gravity is the chain that binds us all." Profile: Nothing is good enough for Cloudraker. He's jealous of his clone brother Fastlane's popularity with beings of all types. He wishes he could scoot along on the ground like his brother does in dragster mode so that he could have more opportunities to interact with others, while at the same time he is terrified of being grounded. He flies as high as he can to escape this fear, yet he is eternally frustrated by his inability to reach escape velocity and achieve orbit. The fact that he is one of the fastest of all the Autobots does little to console him. Even soaring through the skies is a problem for him - an imperfection in his navigational systems afflicts him with claustrophobia. The skies are too small for him! Cloudraker is a mass of crossed circuits. And he'll need years of psychological debugging before he ever fully straightens out. Abilities: In jet mode, Cloudraker has a maximum speed of Mach 2.8. His range is 3200 miles. In robot mode he is armed with two gravity-rod rifles. By altering the strength of the gravitational field around any object their beams hit, the rifles can cause an object to either crash or float away. The larger the object, the less effective are the rifles. Weaknesses: All of Cloudraker's various abilities are hampered according to how emotionally distraught he is at any given moment. On the few occasions when he can put all his problems behind him, he is a very effective warrior. His major physical problem is a tendency to suffer "mode-lock" - the inability to transform from one mode to another.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐COMPUTRON ALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT SUB-GROUP: TECHNOBOT FUNCTION: WARRIOR FIRST APPEARANCE: HEADMASTERS # 3 "Thorough data analysis is essential for the synthesis of successful strategy." Profile: Although much admired for his dedication, bravery, skill and intelligence, Computron is an unfortunate example of being too technologically advanced for his own good. Centuries ago on Cybertron the five Autobots who comprise Computron - Afterburner, Nosecone, Strafe, Lightspeed and Scattershot - agreed to apply the new engineering science of mechanical combinatics to themselves so that they could unite to form a super-Autobot to more effectively combat the Decepticons. Scattershot, however, insisted that their combination be better than anyone else's, that the contribution of each of the five component Autobots to the whole be maximized in every way. The result was not what anyone expected: Computron was created, but as he was programmed to thoroughly and exhaustively analyze the input of each of the five who comprise him, he takes several minutes to form a consensus opinion and make a decision. Any decision. Of course, without exception, the decision he makes is the right one, but very often it comes too late to make a difference. He genuinely regrets when this happens, and feels even worse that he's unable to do anything to change it. Nevertheless, he is well known for his sharp mind, and respected for it. He chooses every word with great care and precision and takes great pride in knowing that when Computron talks, everybody listens. Abilities: Computron possesses awesome strength. He can lift up to 240 tons. He has excellent radar and communications capabilities. He possesses extensive data storage and data processing capacities. He is armed with Scattershot's automatic acid-pellet gun, which shoots capsules containing a highly corrosive liquid that explodes on impact. Weaknesses: Slow decision-making is Computron's most glaring liability. He sometimes overheats and breaks down when he attempts to process more data than he can handle.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐COSMOS ALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT FUNCTION: RECONNAISSANCE & COMMUNICATIONS FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 17 "Reach for the stars, but never leave your friends." Profile: Rocketing around the vast gulfs of outer space might seem like fun, but Cosmos knows the truth: it gets lonely up there. Sure, he understands that every Autobot has a job to do in the battle against the Decepticons, and he accepts his without argument. But he's not always happy about it. Sometimes, to relieve the boredom of a long vigil orbiting the Earth, he'll zip down at night and scare a few humans by hovering over their back yards. He also delights in showing off his maneuverability by zig-zagging through an occasional meteor shower. But mostly he maintains his solitary orbit. At least he's comforted by one thought: he never gets stuck in any traffic jams like his auto-like brethren below. Abilities: As a spacecraft, Cosmos can achieve Earth orbit and, with enough fuel, can reach escape velocity and go for relatively short jaunts - the Moon and back, for example. He can reach speeds of 40,000 mph. He can use himself as a communications satellite by bouncing signals from one Earth location to another. His optical sensors can see and record objects as small as a bicycle from 600 miles high. He has a high-powered particle beam capability that he can use with pinpoint accuracy in either spacecraft or robot mode. Weaknesses: Cosmos is not well-suited to function as a robot on the ground - he's slow, awkward and not too strong. Sometimes in his search for some pleasant diversions to relieve his boredom, he neglects his job. This unreliability can occasionally result in problems for any Autobot depending on him.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐CRANKCASE ALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON SUB-GROUP: TRIGGERCON FUNCTION: DATA COLLECTOR FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 48 "Things are never as good as they seem." Profile: Crankcase is a wheezing, whining ingrate who is about as welcome as a rash of rust-rot, even among his fellow Triggercons. His favorite pastime is complaining about everything and everyone. Nothing is good enough for him. He delights in the misfortunes of others. Apparently, their misery makes him feel superior in some misguided, muddle-headed way. This juvenile "I'm-better-than-you-are" need in him stems from his youth, before he became a Decepticon. At that time he was little more than a gangly collection of circuits and servo-motors, performing a menial janitorial function in the Fuel-Spill Section of the Ministry of Energy and Nutrition on Cybertron. More robust fellow workers mocked his feeble physique and bullied him. Feeling alienated from and hatred of established society, Crankcase eagerly joined the Decepticons when they began their war against the Autobots. Megatron himself rebuilt Crankcase to give him increased bulk and strength. Crankcase's first action in his new body was to attack the Ministry of Energy and Nutrition. Millions of years later, the fuel spill he caused has yet to be fully cleaned up. Abilities: Crankcase has a vast data storage capacity. His memory can contain 400 trillion trillion bits of information, which are encoded in patterns of light within microscopic crystal matrices. His titanium-steel alloy armor is resistant to all explosive shells having yields of ten megatons or less. Twin infrared probes can penetrate and analyze most unshielded electrical circuitry. He is armed with two high-impact laser blasters and a distortion modulator that scrambles internal electrical signals within most targets that it hits. It can effectively cause temporary paralysis or uncontrollable, spasmodic seizures within a victim. He transforms into a ground vehicle with the same armor and sensor properties. In this mode his maximum speed is 90 miles per hour and his range is 480 miles. Weaknesses: In vehicle mode, Crankcase is prone to frequent tire blowouts. On rare occasions, a sharp blow to his head module causes small data dumps in different areas of his memory - a form of amnesia similar to the type found in some humans who have undergone similar trauma.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐CROSSHAIRS ALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT SUB-GROUP: TARGETMASTER HUMAN COMPONENT: PINPOINTER FUNCTION: WEAPONS SUPERVISOR FIRST APPEARANCE: HEADMASTERS # 1 (Crosshairs), HEADMASTERS # 4 (Pinpointer) "Don't shoot until you see the wires in their eyes." Profile: Crosshairs had a long career on Cybertron as the Autobots' chief armory manager. He procured, maintained and supplied to his brethren the latest and most lethal weapons. But he grew more and more disgusted with himself as more and more Decepticons were consigned to the scrapyard, the awful result of his labors. He reasoned there were better ways to use his time than stockpiling implements of death. He quit the weapons business and joined the Autobot band led by Fortress Maximus. When Fortress Maximus renounced war, Crosshairs was one of the first to agree with him and one of the most vocal of his supporters. However, events on the planet Nebulos soon forced these Autobots to take up arms against the Decepticons again, and Crosshairs grudgingly went along. Given his prior experience, he was appointed weapons supervisor by Fortress Maximus. He's meticulous, cautious - some would say overcautious. Although he's less than happy with his job, he's very caring about it, and mindful of his limited resources. He doesn't like to waste ammo; he won't take a shot unless he's sure he can't miss, and encourages others to do the same. Pinpointer was a biomass recycling engineer on Nebulos. As such, he shares his binary-bonded partner Crosshairs' concerns for efficiency and avoiding waste. He's very businesslike and can be brief in his words to the point of appearing rude. But he is very reliable and an ideal Targetmaster. Abilities: Pinpointer transforms into a dual rocket-propelled grenade launcher who can lock on a target in less than .0003 seconds, but usually trusts Crosshairs to tell him when to shoot. He can be fired by hand or mounted on and operated by Crosshairs in vehicle mode. In vehicle mode Crosshairs has a maximum speed of 160 mph and a range of 750 miles. He's built for traversing very rough terrain and has superior durability. Weaknesses: In weapons mode, Pinpointer often suffers from nausea and dizziness as a result of the exhaust fumes he inhales from his own grenade firings. This can severely reduce his accuracy. Cr

🌐 The Global Network 🌐CUTTHROAT ALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON SUB-GROUP: TERRORCON FUNCTION: SHOCK TROOPER FIRST APPEARANCE: HEADMASTERS # 3 "Compassion is the currency of losers." Profile: With not a trace of mercy to be found among his microchips, Cutthroat, not surprisingly, enjoys a reputation for mindless savagery and excessive destruction. His antics even shock some of his fellow Decepticons in their extremeness; his preferred fighting style is lashing out with wings, beaks and claws until he's reduced his adversary to metal ribbons. Though many of his allies privately bemoan the energy wasted in Cutthroat's lethal zeal, none has had the courage to attempt to talk to him about it. They know that if they antagonize Cutthroat, he might just as soon turn his insatiable lust for destruction on them as on the Autobots. Abilities: In creature mode, Cutthroat can leap up to four miles and, if he catches the right breeze, has been known to glide for short distances. He can shoot a stream of 800 degrees Fahrenheit flame from his mouth. His beak, wings and claws can slice through all but diamond and a few rare iron alloys. In robot mode, he carries a double-barreled magnetizer, which charges any metal target it hits with powerful, opposite magnetic fields so that the target literally tears itself apart. He combines with his fellow Terrorcons to form the giant robot known as Abominus. He prefers not to do this since he considers Abominus too "tame" for his tastes. Weaknesses: Cutthroat often recklessly uses his difficult-to-control leaping and gliding abilities, and consequently, often ends up in situations where he does not have the advantage. His excessive use of force often leaves him depleted of energy and vulnerable to attack.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐CYCLONUS ALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON FUNCTION: SABOTEUR FIRST APPEARANCE: THE TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE # 1 "Compassion is the Autobots' downfall." Profile: Cyclonus is a huge and emotionless air-warrior metamorphosized from parts of dead Decepticons and remnants by Unicron. Like Galvatron, he derives vast resources of power and energy through Unicron and so can draw on strength in direct proportion to its need - always being able to become stronger than his opponents because of his access to the infinite reservoir of power that Unicron represents. A dedicated destructor, Cyclonus transforms into a gigantic multi-engine (and perhaps multi-wing) jet fighter. His firepower remains intact and is augmented by an incendiary bomb rack. Cyclonus is capable of an additional transformation, trimming his wings and tail back to assume a space-worthy rocket mode for interstellar pursuit and warfare. He has no personality, no interests other than conquests for the sake of Unicron, and no weakness. Abilities: In jet fighter mode, Cyclonus is equipped with nuclear-powered turbine engines which enable him to reach speeds greater than Mach 2. In robot mode, he carries an oxidating laser that fuses an enemy robot's internal mechanisms.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐DARKWING ALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON SUB-GROUP: POWERMASTER HUMAN COMPONENT: THROTTLE FUNCTION: AERIAL ASSAULT FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 42 "Things are never as bad as they seem - usually they're worse." Profile: If Dreadwind is the ultimate pessimist, Darkwing completes the equation by being a manic-depressive. He believes that life is one long ordeal of pain and suffering, and that it's pointless struggling against it. However, where his brother-in-arms just sits back and lets this bleak outlook get him down, Darkwing is no passive bystander. If he's destined to suffer, then by Primus he's going to make others share it... only more so! His avowed purpose in life is to make the lives of others worse than he believes his to be! To him, death is getting off lightly. Better to leave a foe still alive, in terrible pain. He somehow feels better knowing that others are suffering more than he is. But there is a side to Darkwing that's every bit as gloomy as Dreadwind. No matter how well things are going for him, he's convinced that it's not going to last. To Darkwing, the next personal disaster is always just around the corner. If nothing else, this attitude keeps him alert to impending attack. He's partnered to Throttle, a (self-admittedly) low-life thief. He revels in his chosen profession and loves mixing with society's dregs. Throttle sees this as simple honesty and appreciates that in others. If he doesn't like you, he'll tell you in no uncertain terms. With Throttle, what you see is what you get. In a way, that's why he gets on okay with Darkwing (though Darkwing might have something to say about that), because at least Darkwing doesn't pretend to be anything he's not. So he's a pessimist - so what? Abilities: Darkwing's jet mode abilities mirror Dreadwind's almost exactly. Darkwing combines with Dreadwind to form the vehicle Dreadwing, so they are not so much two jets as two halves of the same jet. Fast and deadly, Darkwing is similarly laden with weaponry, the most deadly of which are his two laser-guided electro-kinetic blasters, which turn an enemy's power against its owner. The more powerful the foe, the more Darkwing can hurt him. Unlike Dreadwind, he is mobile and lethal in robot mode, specializing in hand-to-hand combat. Weaknesses: If he weren't teamed with such a reckless hothead, Darkwing could probably claim to have no weaknesses. As it is, Throttle is so keen to prove himself that he over-exerts himself in engine mode, desperately trying to outdo Dreadwind, and overheats. When this happens in the heat of battle, it can have disastrous consequences, leaving Darkwing high and dry and a sitting duck. Darkwing hates combining to form Dreadwing, and is often distracted by continually bickering with Dreadwind.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐DEAD END ALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON SUB-GROUP: STUNTICON FUNCTION: WARRIOR FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 22 "We are all just food for rust." Profile: Sullen and fatalistic, Dead End sees little reason to continue the Autobot-Decepticon War since all Transformers eventually become inoperative anyway, even though it might take tens of thousands of years. Yet he spends more time keeping himself unmarred and shiny than any of his fellow Stunticons, an irony not lost upon Motormaster, who speculates that Dead End wants to at least make sure he leaves a pretty wreck when he dies. This vanity leads to a lot of teasing and derision directed toward Dead End, which just makes him feel worse. The only thing that can lift his spirits is blasting Autobots in battle, despite what he says about the pointlessness of it all. It seems he's too busy trying to save his own life to get depressed about the possibility of losing it. Abilities: In car mode, Dead End can reach speeds of up to 220 mph. He emanates a radar signal that allows him to detect the movements of any vehicle or robot within a 200-mile radius, and he can use it to mentally map the surrounding terrain as well. He's adept at using this ability to lead enemy Autobots into traps - such as dead ends! In robot mode, he carries a compressor-air gun, which can let out a blast of air that packs a 40,000 psi punch, enough to splinter a grove of oak trees. He combines with his fellow Stunticons to form the giant robot, Menasor. Weaknesses: Dead End is a fearless fighter in battle, but getting him motivated to begin fighting is always a problem. Sometimes he can be so listless and depressed that it takes a direct hit with a cluster bomb to spur him to fight. When that happens, he's usually no longer in any condition for battle.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐DEFENSOR ALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT SUB-GROUP: PROTECTOBOT FUNCTION: DEFENSIVE OPERATIONS FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 24 "As long as one innocent being is threatened, none are truly free." Profile: Charged with the awesome responsibility of protecting humans from Decepticon attacks, Defensor views the people of Earth as if they were his own children. Using all his power and strength, he'll fight until his last drop of fuel is expended before he'll allow a person to be harmed. His is a kinship that defies logic; in fact, many of the other Autobots worry that Defensor undermines his own effectiveness by being so emotionally attached to humans. Inevitably, Defensor is disappointed by this cross-species friendship he tries to foster. Although he thinks of himself as one of the humans, much like a sheepdog among a flock of sheep, rarely do humans consider this hulking, mechanical alien one of them. More likely, they consider Defensor a threat, as terrifying as any Decepticon. So far, this is a bitter truth that Defensor refuses to accept. Abilities: Defensor has tremendous strength. He can lift 300,000 pounds with one hand. As a combination of the five Protectobots - Blades, Streetwise, Groove, First Aid, and Hot Spot - Defensor has a mind that is surprisingly sharp. Occasionally, he suffers from brief mental lapses when the portion of his mind that is Groove's wanders. He is impervious to most artillery. He can surround himself and a 50-foot circle around him with a protective force-field. This, however, takes tremendous energy, so Defensor rarely uses the force-field for more than a minute at a time. He wields a fireball cannon, which shoots 2000 degree Fahrenheit bursts of blue fire up to 1.5 miles. Weaknesses: Other than the aforementioned brief mental lapses, Defensor's limbs sometimes fail to move upon command from his brain, apparently due to poor circuit connections. He is not especially mobile or agile

🌐 The Global Network 🌐DEVASTATOR ALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON SUB-GROUP: CONSTRUCTICON FUNCTION: WARRIOR FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 10 "Thinking and winning do not mix." Profile: Awesome and terrifying, Devastator is the bizarre result of the six Constructicons - Scrapper, Scavenger, Bonecrusher, Hook, Long Haul and Mixmaster - joining together to form a single giant robot. He is ungainly and plodding, but he is also brutality in its purest form - a mechanical being whose sole purpose is to crush and destroy all that stands in its path. Devastator's mind is truly unique and his own, a melding together of his six components, but it also represents a compromise: his thoughts are limited to what the six can agree upon. The carrying out of any complex thoughts is severely impeded by their competing minds. Thus, Devastator is seemingly a creature of almost pure instinct - usually he acts before he can fully contemplate the consequences of his actions. These actions are usually simple, direct and extremely violent. Abilities: Devastator has many of the abilities of his component parts, but is somewhat limited in their use by his limited mental functions and awkward form. He is over 60 feet tall and has incredible strength - he can knock down a bridge with one punch. His solar energy rifle shoots a 10,000 degree centigrade heat beam a distance of six miles. Weaknesses: Devastator is slow and awkward, and is relatively easy to trip up. The inability of his six component parts to better cooperate inhibits his mental functions, allowing him to be easily outfoxed by most opponents.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐DIRGE ALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON FUNCTION: WARRIOR FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 17 "Fear is the element that unites all losers." Profile: The chilling rumble of Dirge's engines as they approach from a distance is merely a prelude to the petrifying fear they induce in whomever is unlucky enough to hear as they pass overhead. And fear is something with which Dirge is quite familiar. He knows its all-consuming power; he understands how it can defeat even the mightiest of armies. He handles it with the same exacting proficiency that a concert pianist handles his piano's keys. Even his fellow Decepticons are put off a bit by his mournful, silent manner. Ramjet sums up everyone's feelings: "He gives me the creeps." Abilities: In jet mode, the sound from Dirge's engines has the uncanny effect of producing spine-tingling (circuit-tingling, in the cases of other robots) fear in nearly everyone who hears it. Apparently, the engines emit a combination of frequencies that has a disorienting, fear-provoking effect on the nervous systems of all those within earshot. He also carries two air-to-air missiles and two automatic machine guns. Weaknesses: In order to perform well as a warrior, Dirge needs to feel that he's in control of a situation. When things get out of hand, Dirge is prone to suffer from the very weapon he himself wields so effectively - fear. Dirge's usefulness evaporates under these conditions.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐DIVEBOMB ALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON SUB-GROUP: PREDACON FUNCTION: AERIAL ASSAULT FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 25 "Conquer the skies and all below you will fall." Profile: Divebomb is like a kid at a candy shop - as he flies high overhead looking down at the ground below, he's so delighted with all the targets he has to choose from that he doesn't know where to begin. But it usually doesn't take long before he's gleefully shooting up the countryside. He's almost always in good spirits. The only thing that consistently ruffles his carbon-steel feathers is when he must surrender his own independence to combine with his fellow Predacons. He doesn't care for his fellow Predacons and detests sharing his components with them. When not engaged in combat, Divebomb usually busies himself in the building of his latest mechanest. Perched atop tall buildings or mountain peaks, these fanciful, fortified constructions are commonly composed of late model sports cars, wings of low flying jets and theater marquees. "I like to live comfortably," says Divebomb. Abilities: Rocket thrusters mounted on his back allow Divebomb to achieve speeds of 300 mph when in eagle mode. He has a 2000 mile range and can reach an altitude of 18 miles. High resolution telescopic lenses within his optical modules enable him to spot a dime from 10,000 feet. He can lift a tank and tear through its armored skin with his beak. In robot mode he uses a particle beam rifle with infrared sight and a laser-guided sword, which is guided to its target after Divebomb first pinpoints the target with a laser beam that shoots from the sword's tip. Divebomb combines with his fellow Predacons to form the giant robot, Predaking. Weaknesses: Divebomb's internal guidance system is easily thrown off by magnetism. Such interference causes him to lose control while he's flying and makes him prone to crashing.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐AFTERBURNER ALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT SUB-GROUP: TECHNOBOT FUNCTION: GUNNER FIRST APPEARANCE: HEADMASTERS # 1 "Following leaders leads nowhere." Profile: Quick to anger and even quicker to attack, Afterburner isn't one to wait around for orders. Confident his heavy armor protects him, he likes to turn up his speed and burst through enemy lines, firing away as he plunges through. But his defiance doesn't end there. He's generally uncooperative in every way and his nasty temper only makes things worse. He's a decidedly disruptive machine. Technobot Leader Scattershot is often compelled to take disciplinary measures and forcibly confine Afterburner for periods of time. This only intensifies Afterburner's hatred of authority, and of Scattershot in particular. Afterburner often takes off on his own and invariably gets into some kind of trouble unrelated to the Autobots' war with the Decepticons. Afterburner is a rebel with a cause, but one that he all too often chooses to ignore. Abilities: In his vehicle mode, Afterburner uses solid rocket fuel packs to boost his speed up to 450 mph for several minutes at a time. A special adhesive substance secreted by his tires allows him to drive up all but the most slippery walls. He carries two laser-guided incendiary missiles and a rapid-fire plasma pulse cannon, which shoots discrete packets of energy that explode on contact. In robot mode, he uses a semi-automatic sonic blaster pistol with infrared sight. He combines with his fellow Technobots to form the giant robot known as Computron. Weaknesses: Afterburner's impetuous, defiant nature usually works to his disadvantage. He often winds up in situations where he is clearly overmatched by his enemies. He occasionally runs out of fuel, a result of his careless nature. He sometimes goes on uncontrolled shooting binges that wind up harming him (from the powerful recoil of his weapons) more than his enemies

🌐 The Global Network 🌐DOGFIGHT ALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT SUB-GROUP: TRIGGERBOT FUNCTION: AIR COMBAT FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 46 "Don't fire till you see the lights of their eyes." Profile: The skies are unsafe for aviation when Dogfight is in the air. He terrorizes friend and foe alike. Not one to take chances, he buzzes even non-military commercial aircraft just to make sure that they keep their distance from him. This wild, wicked sky-flying street fighter likes to go nosecone to nosecone with his opponents in what he calls "a dance of doom." He generally doesn't begin to fire until he's close enough to count the rivets in their fuselage. Sometimes he'll even partially transform to his robot mode in mid-air so he can punch it out with an enemy aircraft. It doesn't take much to get his fuel flowing - he'll fly into action against a flock of pigeons if they accidentally interfere with his radar. Optimus Prime has tried to calm Dogfight down by instructing him in mechano-meditation, a discipline that teaches the art of mastering one's behavior by learning how to recognize and modify the electrical pulses within one's emotional cortex module. So far, the results have been negligible. Dogfight's aggressive outbursts are deep-rooted. They stem from a moment of indecision in his youth. He was on air guard duty for his village on Cybertron. While on a maintenance break on the ground, he saw a squadron of jets approach in the distance just as an air tanker carrying vital fuel relief was arriving. Before he could decide whether the squadron was friend or foe, it destroyed the tanker. All the while, Dogfight remained on the ground. Without the fuel many of his neighbors had to shut down for a long time, and some have yet to fully recover. Because he hesitated to take action, Dogfight blamed himself for this tragedy. Ever since, he's never hesitated. And he's never met a Decepticon that he didn't want to destroy immediately. Abilities: Dogfight's swept-back wing design allows him superior maneuverability in jet mode. A state-of-the-art navigational system gives him the ability to constantly adjust his speed, altitude and direction to compensate for the inherent instability of this wing design. His maximum speed is 1700 miles per hour and his range is 3000 miles. He is armed with two fusion reaction-powered blowtorch blasters in both jet and robot modes. In jet mode the blasters are mounted under his tail section and pointing behind him to surprise any enemy aircraft that try to sneak up on him. He commonly leaves a twin trail of flame from the blasters as he streaks through the air. His wingtips are serrated and can cut through all but the toughest steel alloys. One of his favorite tactics is to fly close enough to his opponents so that he can use his wingtips to slice off their wings. Weaknesses: Dogfight is vulnerable to mid-air stalls during some of his more dramatic flying maneuvers. So far he has been able to pull out of all of them before actually crashing on the ground, but he's come close to destroying himself on several occasions

🌐 The Global Network 🌐BLAST OFF ALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON SUB-GROUP: COMBATICON FUNCTION: SPACE WARRIOR FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 24 "I destroy Autobots by choice, not by command." Profile: Removed from the type of close-quarters combat his fellow Combaticons engage in, Blast Off soars through the vast vacuum of outer space feeling literally and figuratively above the other Transformers. He exudes an aristocratic air, believing that the problems of others are too petty and foolish for him to be concerned with. He appears quite happy in his role, orbiting hundreds of miles away from his comrades. But his happiness is an act, a disguise he uses to hide his long-distance loneliness. His aloof and superior manner is a front that prevents the other Decepticons from knowing his true feelings. None of this interferes with his performance - From his perch high above, he is cruelly efficient at raining destruction down on the world below. Perhaps because of the remoteness of his targets, perhaps because that's just the way he is, Blast Off feels not the least trace of remorse about his actions. Abilities: In space shuttle mode, Blast Off can travel at 26,000 mph and stay in orbit up to eight months. From his nosecone he can emit a powerful x-ray laser that can burn a hole through a rocketing ICBM 12,000 miles away or hit an Autobot on the ground. The effectiveness of this weapon is reduced 80% by the Earth's atmosphere. He also carries relaying equipment that allows over-the-horizon communication between Decepticons on the surface. In robot mode, he uses an ionic blaster, which shoots a beam of highly charged particles that disrupts the flow of electricity in anything of an electrical nature. With his fellow Combaticons, he combines to form the giant robot, Bruticus. Weaknesses: Blast Off has trouble re-entering the Earth's atmosphere. His heat shielding often cracks and fails, exposing him to potentially lethal damage. He is also relatively vulnerable to most forms of artillery.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐DRAG STRIP ALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON SUB-GROUP: STUNTICON FUNCTION: WARRIOR FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 22 "The first one to cross the finish line lives!" Profile: Drag Strip would rather be scrapped than lose. It doesn't matter what the competition is he's involved in - racing, fighting or even just trading insults - Drag Strip always aims to come out on top. Maybe it's because he needs to feel important, maybe he enjoys humiliating others. It makes no difference; to beat an opponent, he'll pull the nastiest, most underhanded tricks. And he relishes his victories - he makes certain everyone within earshot knows about them. He loves to gloat. His fellow Stunticons feel he's a selfish, egotistical boor and would just as soon not have him around. Even Decepticon Leader Megatron finds him insufferable and would sooner smelt him than talk to him. But he knows that as rotten as Drag Strip is for the Decepticons to be around, he's even worse company for the Autobots. And that, in Megatron's opinion, is a character trait to be much admired. Abilities: In car mode, Drag Strip can reach speeds of 250 mph and comes equipped with a plasma energy blaster that shoots an explosive ball of energy a distance of 2000 yards. In robot mode, he uses a gravito-gun that enhances the gravitational field of a localized area so that anyone walking into the area would either be crushed by the increased gravity or have his body ripped apart as the gravity pulls him from different directions. He combines with his fellow Stunticons to form the giant robot, Menasor. Weaknesses: In car mode, Drag Strip is prone to overheating, particularly at high speeds. His cooling system has been known to explode. He also suffers from the ill will of many of his fellow Decepticons, a definite liability in battle when he might require their cooperation.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Dreadwind.jpgDREADWIND ALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON SUB-GROUP: POWERMASTER HUMAN COMPONENT: HI-TEST FUNCTION: AIR DEFENSE FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 42 "Fear is a friend whose presence is felt long after he's left!" Profile: Dreadwind is the proverbial "deactivation of the party," a mournful presence always first to look on the bleak side of things. Grim and gloomy, he always acts as if his best friend has become permanently inoperative. Most other Decepticons avoid him like the plague, knowing that however buoyant their mood, Dreadwind is sure to bring them to Earth with a bump! As ominous as a storm cloud and as chilling as a winter breeze, Dreadwind somehow manages to convey his doom-laden message when he's in battle, even in jet mode! Foes have been known to feel despair at Dreadwind's approach, even at a vast distance. Dreadwind doesn't appreciate the advantage this gives him in battle; it just serves to further depress him. He's been known to wade through a battlefield, blasting Autobots and shouting, "Why does no one like me?" But Dreadwind has been known to come close to reveling (in his own low-key way) in the carnage he wreaks, knowing that perhaps his only true friend is fear. He sees it in the visual receptors of enemies and feels slightly better himself. Though the two profess to hate each other, and certainly detest combining to form Dreadwing, Dreadwind and Darkwing are the perfect partners in crime, almost trying to outdo each other in the bleakness stakes. The same cannot be said of Dreadwind's binary-bonded human component, Hi-Test. He's a thrill-seeking, overachieving perfectionist who can't understand Dreadwind at all! How can he be so gloomy when there's so much wonderful badness in the world? Hi-Test does his best to bully Dreadwind into enjoying himself, or at the very least concentrating his morose mind on the job at hand. Abilities: In jet mode, powered by his high-performance Powermaster engine, Dreadwind can reach speeds up to Mach 2.6, and is able to climb to sub-orbital altitudes. When combined with his fellow Powermaster Darkwing, as the vehicle Dreadwing, they become capable of space flight, reaching light speeds and beyond. His jet mode is armed with air-to-air missiles, thermal melters, rapid-fire machine guns and lasers. He's a flying armory with a vast capacity for devastation. In robot mode he's more cumbersome and less effective, presenting an easy target. But at close quarters, his bulky strength and multi-shot wrist guns give him an advantage. Weaknesses: All of Dreadwind's weaknesses stem from his continual brooding and permanent depression. He's so busy feeling sorry for himself, he tends to forget he's in the middle of a battle, leaving himself wide open to attack.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐EJECT ALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT FUNCTION: ELECTRONIC SURVEILLANCE FIRST APPEARANCE: - "Clutch hitting is the key to an effective offense." Profile: Simple descriptive phrases are insufficient for a confirmed Earthen sports fanatic like Eject. Sports cliches clutter his everyday conversation. To him, a surprise attack on the Decepticons is "a fast break." A victory is a "touchdown." Destroying an enemy is "hitting a grand slam." Few of the other Autobots understand anything Eject says, but they all appreciate the enthusiasm with which he says it. Eject's attention was first drawn to Earthen sports by the competitive spirit that characterizes them. Where he comes from, Cybertron, such a commitment of passion and energy is only known in the field of war. He therefore found it both surprising and fascinating to observe it in an entertainment. Now Eject is a devout follower, finding sports to be an immensely enjoyable diversion (some would say "obsession"). But more importantly, he views sports with the fervent hope that one day it will forever replace war as the way for opponents to settle their differences. Abilities: Eject has the talent to be a play-by-play announcer in most major sports, but lacks the opportunity. In cassette mode, he is able to monitor and record local radio and television broadcasts, although he is more likely to tape Monday Night Football than a news bulletin on a Decepticon raid. He can also decode scrambled signals and tap into telephone conversations. In robot mode, he uses an overload gun, which temporarily disables its target by releasing a powerful burst of electricity into its target's neural circuitry. Weaknesses: Many important broadcasts are overlooked by Eject because of his preoccupation with monitoring sports. This sometimes results in disaster not only for him but also for the Autobots who rely on him. At times his internal tape snaps if he's recording something that gets him particularly worked up and tense, such as Nolan Ryan going for another no-hitter.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Fangry.jpgFANGRY ALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON SUB-GROUP: HEADMASTER HUMAN COMPONENT: BRISKO FUNCTION: TRACKER FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 46 "Leaders are for fools who need to follow." Profile: Fangry is rebellious, fearsome and foul-mouthed, ideal qualities for a Decepticon, you might think. But where normally these traits would be directed against the Autobots he battles, Fangry's wrath and fury are generally aimed at his own leader! This odious nightstalker automatically rebels against anyone in authority and actively lashes out at anyone foolish enough to tell him what to do. Orders given to Fangry tend to be couched in suggestions or requests, so as to avoid the terrible rages that normally follow. His Decepticon superiors have more trouble controlling him than the Autobots have fighting him! Back on Cybertron, fellow Decepticons often tricked unsuspecting neutralists, giving them orders to pass on to Fangry and then watching as he tore them apart. Fiercely independent, Fangry has utter faith in his own judgment and tactics. If he can't do it his way, he won't do it at all! When Fangry was binary-bonded to Brisko, a former Nebulan cartographer with a photographic memory and a selfish streak, the results were volatile to say the least. Brisko is very much into looking after number one, and when Fangry's sometimes transparently inept plans seem to endanger them, he exerts control over the shared mind, steering them away from trouble. Fangry hates this and wishes fervently to be rid of Brisko. As he's Fangry's head, Brisko is confident this will never happen. Knowing Fangry better, fellow Decepticons aren't quite so sure! Abilities: In robot mode, Fangry carries a semi-automatic ion pulse gun, which fires a concentrated beam of energy capable of melting outer armor plating and slagging interior circuitry. His own armor plating is very dense and tough. In wolf mode, Fangry is less well protected but much more mobile and not such an easy target. His back wings enable him to fly short distances. His tail converts to a compressed air cannon that produces 200 mph winds. A fine tracker in his own right, Brisko's photographic memory of terrain and maps makes him almost impossible to catch or surprise. Weaknesses: Fangry's obsessive reliance on his own skills, combined with his inability to listen to advice often puts him in terrible danger. His solo gambits can wreck carefully laid team battle plans and often result in harm coming to his teammates. Disliked by his fellow Decepticons, the chances of someone coming to Fangry's aid are slim.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Fastlane.jpgFASTLANE ALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT SUB-GROUP: CLONE FUNCTION: ROAD WARRIOR FIRST APPEARANCE: - "You're either out of my way or out of luck." Profile: Fastlane is the younger clone brother of the Autobot Cloudraker. He is also far more immature than Cloudraker. Although this is often the case between siblings of substantially different ages, Fastlane was created only .0005 seconds after his brother! But it is perhaps that tiny time differential that accounts for the great difference in their personalities. Fastlane is a thrill-seeking showoff who is always looking for new ways to get his kicks. He's made reckless driving a way of life. But he's more mischievous than malicious about it. In fact, his asphalt antics have proven to be so entertaining to onlookers that both Autobots and humans alike regard him very favorably. His most notorious stunt occurred several thousand years ago on Cybertron: In an attempt to prove that he could make a 360-degree turn on a crowded highway in the space of 30 feet while maintaining a speed of 500 miles per hour, he caused a 4,236 vehicle accident. Traffic was tied up for over 200 miles and didn't get back to normal for over a week. But all those involved had a good time as they untangled themselves from one another, and, most importantly to Fastlane, he proved that he could do what he set out to do. Abilities: In vehicle mode Fastlane can attain a maximum speed of 220 miles per hour and has a range of 350 miles. By engaging his rear-mounted booster jets he can increase his maximum speed to 550 mph, but not for more than five minutes at a time. In robot mode he carries two powerful sonic boom rifles. He can adjust the frequency and amplitude of the guns' blast so that their effect can be as delicate as changing the direction of a falling feather or as dramatic as shattering a block of foot-thick steel. Weaknesses: Unaware of or, perhaps more accurately, refusing to acknowledge his own limitations, Fastlane often unintentionally incapacitates himself as a result of his antics. For example, during some of his more demanding stunts, he typically burns out his servo-motor circuits, which activate and control high speed movements in his joints.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Fireflight.jpgFIREFLIGHT ALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT SUB-GROUP: AERIALBOT FUNCTION: RECONNAISSANCE FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 21 "When I'm flying, no enemy is safe - nor friend." Profile: If Aerialbots needed pilot's licenses, Fireflight would certainly never have gotten his. He's a definite hazard in the skies. He becomes mesmerized by the spectacular views he sees from above, and, consequently, often pays little attention to where he's going, leading to near-crashes with buildings, mountains, even other aircraft. Only constant prodding by his fellow Aerialbots keeps Fireflight's mind on his assigned tasks. But they can't get angry at him - they realize his carelessness is a result of what humans would call "a childlike sense of wonder," and they can hardly fault him for that. Still, flying alongside him is definitely unnerving to the other Aerialbots; "Sometimes I wonder whose side he's on," says Skydive. Abilities: Fireflight can fly at speeds up to Mach 2.0 with a range of 1000 miles. In jet mode, he can shoot missiles that explode and release a mist of highly flammable liquid he calls "fire-fog." In robot mode, he uses a photon displacer gun, which severely distorts visual images by altering the course of photons in light waves. Anyone within the vicinity of a blast from this gun would not be able to see things as they actually are until after the gun's effects wear off, which can take up to five minutes. He combines with his fellow Aerialbots to form the giant robot known as Superion. Weaknesses: As well as being a danger to others, Fireflight is even more of a danger to himself. He just flies badly. And any human passengers inside his cockpit would all too quickly discover this fact - his sudden jerks, jolts, hairpin turns and rapid velocity changes can easily result in a severe neck sprain, at the very least. His poor flying technique also makes him very fuel inefficient.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/First_Aid.jpgFIRST AID ALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT SUB-GROUP: PROTECTOBOT FUNCTION: DOCTOR FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 24 "An ounce of maintenance is worth a pound of cure." Profile: First Aid hates seeing a machine in pain - even if the machine itself is unaware that it's hurting. He's been known to fix broken street lamps and administer water to overheated cars on his travels. This often delays him in performing his normal duties, but his fellow Protectobots rarely take him to task over it. He's simply too compassionate! He's also overly cautious - he'll restrict an Autobot to the repair bay for a mere faulty directional signal. Although his comrades sometimes take issue with First Aid's judgment in such cases, they know the quiet, hard-working doctor is only looking out for their best interests, and that is a comforting thought. Abilities: In vehicle form, First Aid can travel at 140 mph with a range of 500 miles. He carries a dual-barreled decrystallizer cannon, which disrupts the crystalline structure of most metals, reducing their tensile strength and making them vulnerable to fracture. In robot mode, he carries a photon pistol that shoots light-bursts with the equivalent brightness of 5,000-watt light bulbs, enough to temporarily blind all but those whose optical sensors are the most heavily shielded. Each of his fists can emit a high-temperature, narrow laser beam, which he uses for welding during surgical procedures. He combines with his fellow Protectobots to form the giant robot known as Defensor. Weaknesses: Other than the aforementioned tendency to be distracted, First Aid occasionally suffers from electrical system breakdowns, particularly when he uses his decrystallizer cannon. This sometimes leaves him unable to perform simple functions, such as turning on his lights, or worse, leaves him completely immobilized

Profile: Valiant, courageous, powerful beyond measure, Fortress Maximus is a warrior without compare, but one whose most fervent wish is never to have to fight again. All his early life, Fortress Maximus trained as an architect, becoming the creator of many of Cybertron's proudest monuments. With his ability to transform into vast construction bases, many of his creations were crafted by his own hand. So Fortress Maximus learned to build, not destroy. When war came, he did not hesitate to turn his gifts to the ways of combat, adapting one construction base into a repair bay, the other into a battle station. But as the war spread and he saw his constructions tumble and wall with countless lives lost in the process, he began to see how pointless and counter-productive battle was. He began to fight with only one aim in mind - to bring an end to the senseless conflict. He would fight, but only out of necessity, only to save other lives. Drawing inspiration from Optimus Prime, Fortress Maximus carried on his noble work after Optimus disappeared, assuming Prime's mantle of Autobot leader. But as the war dragged on, so Fortress Maximus's ideals dulled, his purpose lost in one battle after another. Realizing he was losing his very self, Fortress Maximus and a group of Autobots left Cybertron, bound for the planet Nebulos, a world where they could live in peace. But the Decepticons followed, bringing the war with them. To better combat the Decepticons and convince the Nebulans of their honest intent, Fortress Maximus removed his head, letting the Nebulan leader Galen replace it. Galen's body was bio-engineered to combine with an intermediary form and transform into a facsimile of Fortress Maximus's proud visage. Through his mind-link with Galen, Fortress Maximus rediscovered his purpose. The battle would not be won by turning his back on it. So he returned to the war, fighting once more, every battle a small step towards his ultimate goal... the end of all hostilities. When Galen was killed, the human Spike Witwicky took over as Fortress Maximus's binary-bonded partner. Spike, a college student, had no long term plans to continue in this role, and eventually quit. But as he has continued to find out, the binary bonding goes deep indeed and his own courage and commitment will be tested to the full.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Freeway.jpgFREEWAY ALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT SUB-GROUP: THROTTLEBOT FUNCTION: SABOTEUR FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 30 "Words can cut deeper than steel." Profile: Freeway is the self-appointed comedian of the Autobots. He specializes in a particularly vicious brand of insult humor and is not afraid to aim his barbs at even the highest ranking of his comrades. He takes someone's slightest miscue as an excuse to unleash upon the poor fellow a merciless torrent of verbal jabs. He never fails to get a rise out of his audience or completely humiliate his victim. Probing deeper into Freeway's psyche, one would find that his comical behavior is a subconscious reaction to the high-pressure nature of his job - a way to release tension. He is surprisingly sensitive when he is the butt of a joke; he becomes clearly and extremely annoyed. If anyone laid into him as he lays into others, no doubt Freeway would be an angry tangle of overheated circuits. Abilities: Freeway's specialty is spreading misinformation and setting traps. He's adept at intercepting coded radio transmissions, interpreting them, and then substituting his own erroneous signals instead. He's equipped with a broad-band, ultra-sensitive radio frequency detector and transmitter, disguised as his car AM/FM radio, which enables him to do all this. He uses a variety of gadgets for sabotage: sonic land mines, magnetic homing grenades and powerful, rust-inducing oxidizing agents, to name a few. Sometimes, just for a laugh, he'll turn his destructive attention to a fellow Autobot, usually by using the oxidizing agent to give his target a severe case of rustfoot. Weaknesses: Freeway is not particularly strong or fast, but he usually compensates for this with his cleverness. Sometimes he is a victim of his own comedic talents - at times he laughs so hard at his own jokes that he'll pop a few internal circuits from their connections and disable himself

🌐 The Global Network 🌐www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Frenzy.jpgFRENZY ALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON FUNCTION: WARRIOR FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 1 "Sow panic and surrender will bloom!" Profile: With a fervor bordering on insanity, Frenzy plunges into conflict holding back not one molecule of his mechanical being. If it were necessary for him to breathe, war would be his oxygen. His lust for destruction knows no cause, no purpose - it only craves the fear it instills in others, the destruction it leaves in its wake. The other Decepticons appreciate Frenzy's boldness and enthusiasm - often this is enough to turn them from beating a hasty retreat to launching a new offensive. But given his single-minded devotion to violence, even they find him hard to deal with on a personal level. They have no problem letting him lead the way into battle. Abilities: His screaming voice and belligerent manner alone could shake up an opponent, but Frenzy can enhance this effect by spinning the drum-like devices in his torso. Rolling the drums against each other produces a high-pitched, grating sound of up to 200 decibels which can severely disrupt the electrical flow within the circuits of anyone within earshot, resulting in all sorts of mechanical malfunctions. He's particularly adept at disorienting his opponents by neutralizing their auditory and balance centers. Weaknesses: Like his brother Rumble, Frenzy's small stature limits his physical strength, but his abilities make him difficult to get near. A very cool, logical reaction to his manic onslaught is often an effective way of countering his intimidating effect.

Profile: Galvatron is the new name and identity for Megatron when his remains are metamorphosized by Unicron. Galvatron is Megatron to the ultimate degree, more evil, more powerful, and even less subject to emotion or decency. Through the powers of Unicron, Galvatron's own powers are augmented continuously so that his strength becomes so vast that his arrogance and confidence are boundless. As long as Unicron exists, Galvatron is invincible, but Galvatron's conceit and greed for dominance are so great he even plots against Unicron and hopes to retain his new might without him. Abilities: He possesses enough strength to pulverize an Autobot into scrap metal. In robot mode, he carries a laser that emits chemically-produced, direct-current electricity.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Gears.jpgGEARS ALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT FUNCTION: TRANSPORT & RECONNAISSANCE FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 1 "Earth stinks, but Decepticons stink worse." Profile: Gears is the complainer in the group. He absolutely hates the Earth and everything about it and he is eager to let the others know this. He is a self-proclaimed misfit, the type who finds fault in everything and everyone, even himself. That is one of the reasons Optimus Prime finds him useful: Gears is so sour-tempered that the rest of the Autobots cheer themselves up by trying to cheer him up. Only Optimus knows that Gears' complaining is an act. Gears realizes his function is to force his companions to see what's good about a situation, and he performs accordingly. Abilities: Gears has tremendous strength and endurance. He is often used to tote heavy loads for long distances. He will even carry several of his comrades to conserve fuel. He can launch himself to a height of 20 miles and then float back down to the ground by creating a compressed air cushion under his feet. This makes him an excellent reconnaissance agent and his ability to detect infrared wavelengths allows him to work night or day. Weaknesses: Since Gears has limited maneuverability when launched, he makes an easy target if spotted. Although his sour personality is mostly an act, a reminder of his home planet, Cybertron, can often depress him and negatively affect his performance.

🌐 The Global Network 🌐www.ntfa.net/universe/pictures/Getaway.jpgGETAWAY ALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT SUB-GROUP: POWERMASTER HUMAN COMPONENT: REV FUNCTION: WARRIOR FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS # 41 (Getaway), TRANSFORMERS # 42 (Rev) "Run hot, but always keep your cool." Profile: Getaway is an escape artist without equal. He uses a combination of finesse and logic to get himself out of the stickiest situations. His ability to keep his cool even under the most extreme conditions is legendary. This reputation was born on the battlefield, long before he became a Powermaster, in what has come to be known as the Armornecking Incident: Getaway was leading a routine patrol on the Titanium Turnpike on Cybertron when he and his fellow Autobots momentarily paused to witness a spectacular traffic accident on the other side of the highway. While the Autobots were armornecking (the Cybertronic term for slowing down to see an accident), a troop of Decepticons that had secretly staged the accident swooped down upon them and attacked. The ambush left the Autobots in tatters, leaking fuel and leaving body parts all over the road. Getaway had all four tires blown out, lost vision in his right headlights and most of his left, and lost the use of his plasma-shell shotgun. Despite his condition and the Decepticon barrage, he cooly and cleverly led a tactical retreat to the nearby Polyhex Toll Plaza. The Autobots paid their energon tolls and went through. But, as Getaway suspected, the Decepticons weren't carrying the proper change and tried to pass without paying. This activated the toll gate security system, which snared the Decepticons before they could leave, giving the Autobots the advantage they needed to defeat the Decepticons and Getaway his well-deserved reputation. Rev was a telecommunications scientist on the planet Nebulos at the Hi Q Industrial Research Complex, which was dedicated to inventing new technologies that could be used to prevent Transformers from invading the planet. Rev's belief that the Transformers were more than machines, that they were living, feeling creatures, was instrumental in Hi Q's decision to help a quartet of Autobots survive their visit to Nebulos. This help took the form of the Powermaster Process, in which Rev allowed his body to be bio-mechanically engineered so that he could be binary-bonded to Getaway and have the ability to transform and function as his engine. As a result, Rev and Getaway are completely interdependent and require connecting with each other on a semi-regular basis to insure their survival. Abilities: Getaway is a master military strategist. In vehicle mode his 600 horsepower racing engine (Rev in engine mode) allows him to reach speeds of 540 miles per hour. He is equipped with bullet-proof windows and shell-resistant battle armor. His range is 1200 miles. An on-board computerized navigational system allows him to plot a long-range course in advance, so that he can give his attention to other matters as he travels. He is armed with a double-barrelled plasma-shell shotgun. Weaknesses: Getaway is one of the toughest Autobots on the road today. He has no known weaknesses. Unless he is using the highest grade energon fuel, Rev has a tendency to knock and stall in engine mode.
