[Source] Master Hamato Splinter is the adoptive father of Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo. He raised them and taught them in the art of Ninjutsu. He is portrayed as a dark gray rat in monk's robes and is stated to weigh 90 lbs. Contents[show] Personality Splinter is a wise and loving father, treating the turtles as his own sons but not hesitating to scold them when necessary. He does his best to look out for them and would gladly give his life to protect them. In an alternate future where the Shredder takes over the world, that is exactly what he did. This overprotective streak made him reluctant to allow them to enter the Battle Nexus competition; in fact he never even told his sons about it and they only found out because they followed him. However Splinter also shows great faith in his sons, believing them to be fully capable ninjas and even showing enough confidence in their abilities to allow them to face the deadly Shredder on multiple occasions, although during the majority of their encounters, he is there to support and protect them in any way that he can.
Splinter has a vengeful streak as shown by his determination to avenge Hamato Yoshi's murder. He speaks very highly of Yoshi, even thinking of him as a father figure despite the species differences and the fact that Splinter wasn't fully sentient until after Yoshi's death. He is one of the very few characters who challenges the Ninja Tribunal, whom he partially blames for Yoshi's death. Indeed Splinter shows blatant contempt for the Tribunal, believing them to be heartless and no better than the demon Shredder. However, after the demon Shredder is destroyed, the Tribunal explained that if Yoshi never died, he would never have existed and neither would the turtles.
Even before his mutation, Splinter showed a remarkable level of intelligence for a rat, being able to mimic Master Yoshi's movements and understand the principles of ninjitsu enough to retain and teach them to his sons. Despite Splinter's intelligence however, he has great difficulty using mechanical equipment, being unsure of how to answer a Shell Cell or control the Battleshell remotely.
Splinter is a very honorable person and is therefore disgusted by dishonor and cowardice. He is capable of fighting on par with the Shredder and also shows a great deal of cunning and resourcefulness in combat, such as when he tricked the Shredder into bringing a water tower down on himself. Despite his age, Splinter also shows amazing speed, strength and skill in combat. His simple walking stick is his signature weapon as he believes that in the hands of a true ninjitsu master, any weapon could be deadly.
In addition to his exceptional skill in physical combat, Splinter is by no means lacking in other aspects of ninjitsu. He was able to penetrate the illusion created by the Foot Mystics and he and his sons defeated them by using meditation. Splinter's keen sense of observation is assisted by his strong sense of smell. Even when his opponents are invisible, he can still pick up their scent and get at least a vague idea of where they are.
History Splinter started his life as an ordinary rat in Japan who found his way into a home owned by the Ancient One. When he was discovered, his life was spared by Tang Shen, the Ancient One's adopted daughter, who took him as a pet. As in previous versions, Tang Shen became tragically caught up between Hamato Yoshi and a jealous rival, this time Yukio Mashimi, a childhood friend of Yoshi's. The two of them eventually joined the Utroms and became Guardians. But Mashimi's jealousy of Yoshi, both for his advancement as a Guardian, and the love of Tang Shen, led him to murder Shen and betray the Utroms' location to The Shredder. Yoshi killed Mashimi in revenge and went to America with the Utroms, taking Tang Shen's pet with him, and giving him the name Splinter. Later, Yoshi would be tracked down and killed by The Shredder, who tried to force him to reveal the Utroms' location. In this continuity, it was Hun that Splinter scratched as his master Yoshi was attacked, and not Shredder.
Soon after he found the turtles and were mutated by a mutagen created by the Utroms. He decides to raise them as his own and then proceeded to train them in the way of ninjutsu. When they were older, Splinter named the four turtles, from a battered book he fished out of the storm drain containing the names of Renaissance artists, which he named the Turtles after.
During the turtles infancy he gather Yoshi's remains and took the turtles to Japan to bury them near the home of the Ancient One, he informed him about Yoshi's fate, blaming the Tribunal for refusing to help. The turtles claim to have seen a Bone Demon, but was unable to see him. The next day the babies try to convince him that they see him, although he still couldn't him, he sensed his presence, so they followed the Ancient One to the Tribunal Monastery and followed the demon to the artifacts. The demon enraged by their meddling grabs the elders to kill them both. The turtles overcame their fear and broke the amulet that renders him invisible allowing the masters to defeat him. The Tribunal thanks them and senses how special the turtles are, but erases their memories of their trip, but allowed Splinter to remember, they opened a portal back to his burrow and they all went home.
Splinter repeatedly warned the turtles to never go to the surface for any reason. They disobeyed him and were secretly teaching a young boy to deal with bullies while trying to hide it. Splinter noticed how guilty they looked trying to hide their secret, but ignores it. One night he caught them topside and scolds them for teaching when they were not ready too and punished them for disobeying him.
Seasons 1-4 He continued to train the Turtles in every way they could, for preparation for evil the four did not fully understand until "The Shredder Strikes Part 1" in which the TMNT learned of the Shredder's evil and hatred and how he killed Splinter's master, Yoshi. The Turtles then continued to fight the Shredder to stop the spread of evil across New York and the world. Splinter Thinking Splinter
Ninja Tribunal Splinter appears most of the time alongside the Ancient One expressing his deepest concern for the safety of his sons and for the harsh teaching methods of the Ninja Tribunal when they enlisted them to fight Tengu Shredder. He has nightmares of his sons dying in battle and was grief-stricken when it appeared to come true. To his relief, his sons were merely knocked out and defeated the Tengu Shredder.
Fast Forward Splinter has been seen in the Fast Forward season continuously teaching his sons' and Cody Jones the ancient ways of Ninjutsu and despite how old fashioned he's shown to be in previous seasons, he too adjusted to living in the year 2105 fighting off any evil that came his way alongside his sons and Cody.
Back to the Sewer 3458187323 8338bf192a o Splinter did not make much of a physical appearance in Back to the Sewer, however he did appear as small data fragments scattered across Cyberspace thanks to Viral and the only times he was every physically shown was during the first episode of BTTS called Tempus Fugit when he was first scattered into a million data pieces and the last episode called "Wedding Bells and Bytes" when he was returned to the real world and attended April and Casey's wedding ceremony which was abruptly interrupted by the appearance of "Cyber Shredder".
Though he did appear in a few flash backs. Splinter is shown to love his sons very much.
Splinter's design was also revamped to make him look more like his design in TMNT where he now sports a Japanese goatee.
Quotes Splinter: "We have never revealed ourselves to the other world. You have placed us all in great danger. " Splinter: "As you grow older, you will learn there are many ways to do the right thing. But there is no going back. I'm afraid we find ourselves at your mercy." Splinter: "Where there is life. There is hope." Splinter: "Do not lead with your shoulders Donatello." Splinter: "Hmm, we will call this place... "Home." Splinter: "Yes, but remember, one must also make time to explore the landskape within." Splinter "Ah, my son. So angry. Rage is a monster that will destroy you from within. Raphael, a true warrior finds balance in all things." Splinter: "It is dangerous for you to go about openly in the world above. You cannot simply walk amongst the humans. They will not accept who and what you are. It is as the great sage and warrior Kenji Hashimura once said, "Why walk when you can ride?" Splinter: "My sons, If you are to become true ninja you must work harder. Your path in life will not be an easy one. The outside world will not be a friendly place for you. You four are different in ways the surface dwellers would never understand. To survive, you must master these skills I teach you. Ninjitsu powers of stealth and secrecy. You must become kage; shadow warriors. And you must never be discovered by the outside world." Splinter: "Pain is a blinding force Leonardo physical and emotional. Splinter: "Rage is a monster that will destroy you from within Raphael." Splinter: "Look with your heart Michaelangelo and not your eyes." Splinter: "Remember, to be a true ninja you must become one with the shadows. Darkness gives the ninja power, while light reveals the ninja's presence." Splinter: "He serves no great purpose. He fights no great evil. He is great evil." Splinter: "There is nothing more restful for a ninja then regular training." Splinter: "Our bodies need rest to heal... And that includes your mouths." Splinter: "Remember my sons even the mighty oak bends before the raging storm winds. Splinter: "Life moves as the wheel of destiny turn night to day." Splinter: "A creative mind must be balanced by a disciplined body. Splinter: "Only be focusing on our inner strength can we overcome our enemy." Splinter: "Sometimes is best to sit still and answers will come." Splinter: "In the hands of true ninjutsu master anything can be a weapon." Splinter: "A weapon is only as good as the arm that wields it." Splinter: "How many times did a told you not to sneak out to the surface?" Splinter: "It is not the student place to say when a lesson is learned. The sudden place is to listen and learn." Splinter: "Old wounds are slow to heal." Splinter: "We Must learn stillness and alertness for they are the only defense against the unexpected." Splinter: "A ninja's greatest strength is patience." Splinter: "The more one learns the less one knows." Splinter: "Attacking a wounded soldier. You have no honor." Splinter: "These who become obsessed are often their worst enemy." Splinter: "Let your mind become pool of stillness. Break the surface explore the deeps for that is where the true wonders lies. Splinter: "A wise ninja does not seek out an enemy who he does not fully understand." Splinter: "The two greatest weapons at the ninja disposal are placement and surprise." Splinter: "Sometimes the past is a mirror in which we can see the reflection of what danger the future holds." Splinter: "Donatello, your Battle Shell is a marvel of engineering. A true testament to your incredible mechanical skills. And I never want to see it in our home again." Splinter: "I hate to put either one of you at risk, but only a fool ignores fate and the strange gifts it offers" Splinter: "Miss O'Neil, teaching them the ancient art of Ninjitsu was hard enough. I'm afraid even I cannot work miracles." Splinter: "You should never have tried to face The Shredder alone. He is too powerful." Splinter: "Master Yoshi kept his honor to the end. A true warrior, and a true Guardian."

[Source] The 2003 TV series incarnation of Michelangelo is voiced by Wayne Grayson. Known as "Mikey" to his brothers, his personality is more akin to the Mirage comics. Still the comic relief, he often makes statements that spoof pop culture (such as Star Wars and The Terminator), although he uses less surfer language than in the 1987 cartoon series. His trademark nunchaku are once again his primary weapons, but he has used other weapons such as grappling hooks and those of his brothers. Contents[show] Physical Appearance Insert details here.
Personality Has sanguine temperament which means he is care-free, artistic, and very extroverted.
Michelangelo is slightly more immature than his 1987 counterpart. Mikey can mock and tease enemies and even his family by coming up with rude but funny remarks. He would mock Splinter‘s phrases and accent, and make remarks towards his brothers. He also tends to pull classic pranks on his brothers, like putting hot sauce on Raph’s cereal, or putting glue on Don’s Bo Staff.
Mikey can also be very cocky. In the Season 2 finale "The Big Brawl," he became the Battle Nexus Champion, the best fighter in the multiverse. However, when fighting in the Tournament, he only actually won one fight properly. Since that battle, Mikey rubs it in his brothers’ faces. However Michelangelo later won a rematch against the last finalist completely fairly, and earned a medal of honor for his behavior during the battle. In some episodes - particularly Return of the Justice Force, Touch and Go, Reality Check, Membership Drive and The Unconvincing Turtle Titan. Mikey is the wiseguy of the group. He would make remarks that took place from a movie or a show. He also makes witty jokes and remarks, just irritate someone or outsmart the opponent. In fact, a running gag is that whenever Michelangelo says or does something rude, obnoxious, stupid usually involving a catch-phrase from the 1987 show, one of his brothers (usually Raphael) will slap him on the head or when he does something stupid. If Donatello smacks Mikey which rarely happens, he would smack him with his Bo staff. Other characters such as Master Splinter and the Ancient One have picked up Don’s version of slapping Mikey, but usually use it only if he disobeys.
Despite being annoying, funny and witty, he shows empathy for others, as proven in particular by his adoption of Klunk, a stray young kitten.
Mikey loves superheroes. In some episodes, Mikey goes out as superhero which he calls himself "Turtle Titan." Although he has no superpowers and gadgets, he still proves himself quite effective in his own way and even befriends other superheroes, such as the Silver Sentry and the Justice Force. As Turtle Titan, Michelangelo uses grappling hooks as both a weapon and a mode of transportation, and a small shield used for protection and as a throwing weapon.
Mikey doesn’t focus on ninjitsu as often as his brothers because he usually prefers to spend his time reading comic books or watching tv. Regardless of Mikey’s laziness, he is a decent fighter.
In early profiles of the 2003 animated series, Michelangelo is regarded as being the most athletic of the four, although unfocused on training mentally (though those are admittedly old profiles and may have been early plans for the character, he has certainly proven he is an effective fighter when need be). This profile statement has since been repeated in the profile of Michelangelo in the lead-up to the debut of the Fast Forward season, which began airing on July 29, 2006.
Biography Childhood When Mikey was a baby, he and his brothers were mutated by a mutagen that fell out of the back of a truck during an accident. He was raised alongside his brothers by Master Splinter who taught them in the art of ninjutsu.
When he was a little older, he and his brothers went with Master Splinter to Japan to bury Master Yoshi's ashes next to his beloved. While there, they helped Master Splinter and the Ancient One win a fight against a demon and that was when they gained their ninja masks ("Fathers & Sons").
At some point as a kid, he tried to break Leo's kata, but when he failed, he tried to hit him with his nunchucks, but Leo retaliated and knocked him down. ("Tales of Leo")
Seasons 1-4 Insert details here.
Ninja Tribunal Michelangelo became one of the Ninja Tribunal's Acolytes along with his brothers. It should be noted that although Michelangelo tends to goof off, his spiritual avatar is that of a dragon along with his brothers as seen in the episode New World Order, Part 2. It was seen that he was advanced when it came to the stealth training with Hisomi.
Fast Forward In this series, Michelangelo, along with his brothers, traveled into the year 2105 and met the great-grandson of April and Casey, Cody Jones. Mikey continued his video gaming in the future, completely awestruck by the new video games, especially since most of the games were virtual reality pieces. When the Turtles and Master Splinter reached the future, they were provided with tech-upgraded weapons, courtesy of O'Neil Tech (which Cody owns). Michelangelo first chose a giant power armor suit, which kept Mikey happy for five seconds before he found out that it was too cumbersome for him to operate; so he returned to his (though upgraded) nunchaku standards.
Overall, Michelangelo continued being the obnoxiously annoying little brother. He kept his addiction for video games and it even increased and he became even more obsessed with them, which proved to be a hazard during Graduation Day: Class of 2105 which almost got him to not graduate as he missed a month's worth of training just for playing video games. He made up for it, however, when he passed the three tests to graduate and got back his nunchucks: Invisibility (where the first handle bar was guarded by Leonardo), Strength (where the second handle bar was guarded by Raphael), and Insight (where the chain was guarded by Donatello). He also passed the hidden test of humility after admitting that he did not deserve to graduate just because he passed three tests after missing so much training.
Back to the Sewer In this series, Mikey continues to be obnoxious and pestering as he always has been in the 2003 series. Mikey was sad to leave behind all of his stuff in the future, including his video games and weapons. Michelangelo still loves his video gaming, and this becomes an important factor in the episode 'SuperQuest' where the turtles must enter one of Mikey's video games to collect more of Master Splinter's data bits that were lost in the beginning of the series.
In "City Under Siege", Mikey defeats the Cyber Shredder by destroying the platform they were on and burning Shredder to a crisp.
Mikey also goes to Casey and April's wedding at the end of the series where he battles Foot ninjas and helps beat the Cyber Shredder. Afterwards he sees Casey and April getting married. By this point he seems to have matured a little bit.
Turtles Forever In Turtles Forever, Mikey gets along just perfectly with the 1987 turtles and often remarks "I love these guys!" - in complete contrast to Raphael, who calls them clowns, and greatly prefers the turtles from the Mirage Comics.
However, when the 1987 turtles go too far with playing around, even Mikey gets annoyed with them, proof that even he can be serious, sometimes. The 1987 turtles also give him noogies. Michelangelo is fond of the 1987 turtles belt buckles, immediately because it reminded him of superheroes. Mikey was in the final battle with the Shredder in Turtle Prime and was happy to see Ch’rell destroyed for good.
Skills, Powers, and Abilities Insert details here.
Weapons Insert details here.
Relationships Family Leonardo Insert details here.
Donatello Insert details here.
Raphael Raphael and Michelangelo mostly have a love-hate relationship in which Michelangelo frequently antagonizes Raphael, but Raphael shows that he cares about him whenever he's in danger.
Master Splinter Like his brothers, Mikey and Splinter have a very special relationship. During the second round of the Battle Nexus, Splinter chose to forfeit to let him have a chance to win, Mikey was very touched and thanked his father. In Touch and Go Mikey took Splinter's advice to use his mind to defeat their foes.
Trivia Like his brothers, Mikey is a practitioner of Chi Gong, which allows him to control his breathing and heart rate. Turtles in Space, Part 3: The Big House. Mikey defeats the Cyber Shredder one on one in City Under Siege. As a recurring gag, this incarnation of Michaelangelo frequently attempts to yell the series catchphrase Cowabunga!, only to be frequently interrupted or chastized for saying it. The Unconvincing Turtle Titan was the first episode to focus on Mikey. Unlike his other incarnations, this Michelangelo screams effeminately (like a girl). It was revealed in Graduation Day: Class of 2105 that Mikey named his nunchaku in Fast Forward 'Chuck' and 'Chuck 2: The Sequel'. Favorite music is: Rap, Techno, Surf, Jimmy Buffett. Favorite book is "Where the Wild Things Are" by Maurice Sendak. [Source] Leonardo in the 2003 TV series, is the leader of the group. He is the most mature and responsible of the four brothers, and takes honor and responsibility as his priority. Contents[show] Physical Appearance Leonardo appears to be a normal, healthy teenage mutant turtle. He is muscular and stocky like his brothers. His skin tone is forest green and wears a blue ninja mask. For the fourth and fifth seasons, a small part of Leo's shell was cracked.
Personality Leonardo is the leader with honor, sensitivity, calm, and reassurance. He’s most "spiritual" of the four. He is kind of a grown-up, psychologically because of all of his seriousness.
He has a very close bond with Splinter, and has a strong sense of honor and ethics, along with being a dedicated follower of the Bushido code. Episodes that deal with the Shredder and honor usually also focus on Leonardo, and he is often the Turtle who "saves the day" (in fact, Leonardo is the turtle who decapitates t he Shredder early on in the series—of course, before they are aware that Shredder is in fact an evil Utrom by the name of Ch'rell who doesn't have a neck, let alone a distinct head).
Raphael and Leonardo occasionally argue, although the two are shown to be very close. Despite this, all three of his brothers view him as a pillar of strength and are at a loss when he is injured or absent. One of Leonardo's most prominent qualities is his determination to believe the best in people, even potential enemies (i.e., Karai, Traximus and Quarry).
Leo may be the most mature but don’t be fooled. When Leonardo loses his temper, he would have emotional outbursts just like Raphael would if he was upset. Sometimes his explosive outbursts can be more violent and raging than Raphael’s. The first half of the fourth season shows a more traumatized, dark Leonardo, due to his feelings of failure, as did a short period in season one after the Shredder returns, in which he became depressed and angry. It wasn’t until he accidentally injured Splinter and subsequently received training from the Ancient One that his personality returned to his normal calm, happy, and reassuring self.
Biography Childhood Vlcsnap-2012-01-06-21h21m31s208 - Copy Young Leonardo
Leonardo was a pet turtle bought by a young boy along with three others, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo. The boy was waiting at the crosswalk when a teenager noticed a blind old man crossing the street while a truck sped toward him. The teenager bumped into the boy with the turtles, causing him to drop the jar in which he held them. The turtles fell into the sewer. Meanwhile, the teenager had successfully saved the old man's life. While the truck veered away from the scene, the doors flew open and a canister fell right into the sewer with the turtles, covering them with an odd substance. A rat by the name of Splinter was passing by and picked up the turtles, touched the odd chemical as well, when one of the turtles shook it all over him. When Splinter woke up the next morning some point later, he found he and the turtles had grown taller, and slightly more intelligent.
Splinter thought it wise to train them in ninjutsu, just as his Master Yoshi had unknowingly done for him. Leonardo and his brothers were taken by Splinter to Japan when they were children to bury Hamato Yoshi's ashes with Tang Shen's remains, and alerted the Ancient One of his and Yoshi's condition. The turtles constantly noticed an odd demon visible to them, but invisible to the Ancient One and Splinter. Finally, when the Ancient One went to consult with the Ninja Tribunal, Splinter noticed an odd smell in the air, believing it to belong to the demon the turtles continued to see, and they secretly followed the Ancient One. The two ninja masters finally were attacked by the demon, but Don managed to throw a stone at the amulet, causing it to shatter and reveal the demon. The Ancient One and Splinter quickly killed the demon. The Ninja Tribunal applauded the turtles' efforts, though eradicated all memories of the trip. The Ancient One gave the turtles bandanas, Leonardo's being blue. The Tribunal used their connection with nature to wrinkle space and open a portal to the turtles' current lair.
Later, Leonardo found Donatello pursuing a remote-control car that had gotten caught in the flow of the sewer water. Donatello's life was endangered by large amounts of sewer garbage, but Leo managed to free his brother.
At some point, Splinter had discovered Leo was afraid of heights and trained him for weeks to conquer it. When it proved fruitless, Splinter faked a fall, which succeeded in forcing Leo to conquer his fear by focusing on saving his father.
Even as a child, it was shown that Leonardo was extremely focused on his training, able to ignore Michelangelo's antics until the latter tried to fight him which resulted in the latter's foil.
Seasons 1-4 Leonardo was introduced in the first season where he and his brothers are fighting Purple dragons for the first time. In The Shredder Strikes ,Part 1 Leonardo is almost tricked by the Shredder when the latter offers him to join the Foot Clan. After consulting Master Splinter, he then rejects the offer. In The Shredder Strikes, Part 2, The Shredder battles them, and plots to destroy Leonardo but is defeated. In The Shredder Strikes Back, Part 1, and The Shredder Strikes Back, Part 2, Leonardo goes out for a morning run where he is ambushed and defeated by the Foot Ninja, Hun, and the Elite Foot Ninja and finally the Shredder. He lands in April's apartment where the others help to evacuate him out. After the Shredder burns down April's apartment the gang retreats to a farm house. During this time Leonardo is in a coma but his driving spirit frees him. In The Monster Hunter, while Donatello, Michelangelo, and Casey Jones are helping a creature escape a scientist. Raphael helps Leonardo, by helping to forge him new katana swords. The gang eventually returns to New York in the Return to New York trilogy and at the end Leonardo uses the Sword of Tengu to defeat the Shredder. After that Master Splinter goes missing, and the Turtles infiltrate the T.C.R.I Building to find him but are found out by the Utrom and are teleported into outer space. After arriving in space Leo and his brothers help Professor Honeycutt in a series of mayhem against the Federations and Triceratons. The are blasted back to earth were the battle the Shredder and his army in the T.C.R.I building. Leonardo becomes angry that with the Shredder's defeat, the Foot, Mob, and Purple Dragons have engaged in a war for control of New York. Raphael tells Leo not to get involved in the war but Leo ignores him. Leo also meets Karai in this arc. Leo also battles the Ultimate Ninja, and wins. In the Season 2 finale arc the Turtles get sent to the Battle Nexus tournament. Leo befriends Usagi a samurai rabbit who also honorable and shares Leo's interest in swords and Bushido. In Season 3 multiple things happen: the Triceratons invade Earth, the Fugitoid returns, the Turtles meet Agent Bishop, and meet Renet in which they travel through time with the Time Scepter. Ultimate Drako returns and plots to scatter the turtles across time and space. Leo gets sent to the world of his best friend Usagi. In the Season 3 finale, Exodus,Part 1, and Exodus,Part 2, The turtles confront Shredder for the final time. The Shredder is planning on leaving Earth to control galaxies. But is stooped by the Utroms and is sent to permanent exile. This event causes a dramatic change in Leonardo. For the first half of the fourth season, Leonardo develops Post Tramatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) when he becomes mentally damaged because of the turtles final fight with the Shredder. He believes he wasn't good enough a leader to save his family without the Utroms rescuing them. This goes on until he injures Master Splinter out of rage. He is then sent to train with The Ancient One in Japan. He returns in Prodigal Son where Karai supposedly "killed" his family in Scion of the Shredder. Leonardo eventually rallies his family and finds a new lair. In the episode Outbreak, Donatello gets infected by a Monster, and mutates into one in Adventures in Turtle Sitting. In the Good Genes duo logy Leo, Raph, Mikey, Leather Head, and Splinter travel to Agent Bishop's base to demand a cure for their brother. After that the Turtles now go out on the rooftops again but are kidnapped by wooden ninja which expands in the next season.
Ninja Tribunal In the fifth season, as he is a part of the eight acolytes under the Ninja Tribunal's training, Leonardo is the only one who doesn't receive a weapon from the Spirit Forge. The reason is unknown, but it's possible that while it saw him and Faraji as both worthy candidates, it sensed a greater force in Leo meaning he didn't need a weapon.
His otherworldly form is that of a dragon, a rare form, unheard of in someone his age. It could be a reason why the Spirit Forge didn't give him a weapon, and Kon, of the Tribunal, mentioned that he and the rest of the Tribunal were right about Leo, meaning they could have known he was given a great power that meant he didn't need a weapon. It is shown destroying evil guarding the second artifact with its ki alone. This avatar is first shown in More Worlds Than One. His brothers later exhibit dragon avatars as well. In the fifth episode Beginning of the End, he is given the sword Gunshin by the dying Faraji Ngala. He returns Gunshin in episode 12 Enter the Dragons, Part 1 when Faraji returns to help battle the Tengu Shredder.
Fast Forward In the Fast Forward season, and the Back to the Sewer season, the damage that occurred to Leonardo's shell as stated above has somehow been repaired. Leo, Splinter, and his brothers are sent to the future by Cody Jones and Leo often calls Cody "little ninja". Leo still remains the most skilled. However, he does not play as big a part in this season as in the previous five. He is still the level-headed eldest brother.
In one episode focusing on Leo, Darius Dun, Cody's uncle, made dangerous clones of the Turtles designed to kill them. In a fight, Leo's clone is hit with a laser by Donatello's clone. He is knocked unconscious and the Turtles take him in (under security precautions, of course). Leo gives his clone a chance to redeem himself and join Leo and his brothers, but the clone betrays their trust and runs away. However, it is later shown that Leo's words have had an effect on the clone, who now wants the other clones to stop living like animals and share, as Leo, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey have taught him.
Back to the Sewer In the Back to the Sewer season, Leo and his brothers must find Master Splinter's data bits after Viral blasted him apart into Cyberspace. At the end of the series, Leo helped get Splinter back and goes to Casey and April's wedding. After that, Leo and his brothers battle the Cyber Foot and defeat the Cyber Shredder. Leo also sees Casey and April get married after all the Foot Ninja and the Cyber Shredder are defeated. Leo is still the most skilled in combat despite the fact that he did not kill the Cyber Shredder.
As in the previous season, he does not play the lead part in this season. He mostly serves as a support character for Donatello's role.
Skills, Powers, and Abilities Leonardo is extremely skilled and is very effective with his swords. He displays balance in physical strength and mental strength. He is the most responsible as he has to obey Master Splinter and keep an eye on his brothers.
Weapons Leonardo primarily fights with his twin katana swords, but has used shurikens, grappling hooks, and those of his brothers.
Relationships Family Donatello Leonardo and Donatello have been shown to get along well. Leo knows the value of Donnie's intelligence and like all of his brothers, he often relies on his engineering skills to get them through any situation. Leonardo and Donatello rarely argued in this series.
Raphael Raphael and Leonardo can be competitive and butt heads at times, but other times the two have shown to care about each other, and will help each other.
Michelangelo Like Donatello and especially Raphael, Leonardo gets really annoyed with Michelangelo’s pranks and wisecracks, and scolds him for his lack of focus but does show love towards his little sibling.
Master Splinter Leonardo is the closest turtle to Master Splinter and his loyal to him. He knows what master Splinter expects of him and will do anything to meet his expectations.
Trivia Like his brothers, Leo is a practitioner of Chi Gong, as shown in Turtles in Space, Part 3: The Big House. In the season 3 finale episode, he was stabbed in the shoulder. In early season 4, when his bandages were removed, it was revealed that a portion of his shell had been hacked off too. Occasionally the damage on his shell would disappear, this can largely be attributed to animation errors. Has expertise in blacksmithing, as he was able to forge new katanas with the help of only Raphael in The Monster Hunter. He sometimes rides a foot-propelled scooter. Leonardo has been shown to be somewhat naive, when he ignores Raph's skepticism and trust enemies such as Shredder and Karai. Favorite music is: Traditional Japanese and New Age. Favorite book is "On the Art of War" by Sun Tzu. Favorite food is rice, fish, salads, apples, pizza. Gallery Leonardo (2003 TV series)/Gallery

[Source] Raphael in the 2003 TV series is voiced by Greg Abbey. He is known as the strongest and the toughest of the four brothers.
Contents[show] Physical Appearance Raphael wears the same knee/shoulder pads and belt as his brothers but his traditional bandana is red. He also has a darker skin tone, similar to an emerald green. In TMNT: Fast Forward's and Back the Sewers’ different animation style Raphael appears taller than his brothers.
Personality Raphael's personality is similar to that of his original Mirage counterpart except he’s bit more sarcastic and grumpier. Although he’s impulsive, he’s not as violent. When he was in a fight Michelangelo, he almost hit Michelangelo with a pipe, while Leonardo stopped him just in time and Raph calmed down. Another example was in the City at War when Raphael wasn’t happy with Leonardo choosing to get involved the gang war he argued with Leonardo back and forth and tempers flare. He even walked out the team when he thought it was a bad idea to team with the foot, after a while he gave in and realized how crazy he was.
Raphael in this incarnation is a tough talking, street smart, no nonsense New Yorker with an attitude. He’s sarcastic and a bit grumpy. Raphael loves wrestling and boxing, and is always ready to fight. When he does get angry at times he would stop himself and remain calm, sometimes he would put a fight or lose control. When someone calms him down, he would feel sorry. Like in Meet Casey Jones when Leonardo stopped Raphael from harming Michelangelo, Raph calmed down and felt guilty. Raphael's biggest fear is losing himself completely to his anger, and letting his temper get the best of him to the extent that he loses all other emotions.
His aggressive behavior sometimes causes tension with his brothers, especially with motor mouth Michelangelo. However, he deeply loves them all, and displays more caring, concerned personality traits when one of them is harmed or in serious danger. Raphael is shown to be intensely loyal, and is often the first to react when another of his brothers is in trouble. This happens on numerous occasions, like when he stops a blow from hitting Donatello using only his two sai or kicks the Shredder away from Leonardo when the former is about to attack.
However, in this incarnation, Raphael doesn’t chicken out over bugs, he’s willing to fight the rivals who are bugs, but he does admit that he hates them.
Biography Childhood As ordinary baby turtles, Raphael and his brothers were bought by a young boy from a pet store. Shortly after, a blind man was walking across the street without noticing a nearby approaching truck. A teenager ran to save the blind man, while inadvertently pushing the boy, who dropped the turtles. As the truck swerved, a canister of mutagen fell out and went down the sewers along with the turtles. The container broke and spilled mutagen on them. Splinter then saw the turtles and decided to keep them, and take care of them. After waking up, Splinter sees the change and decides to train them in ninjitsu. Raphael and the other three turtles trained with Splinter.
Later in his childhood, Raph and his brothers attempted to teach Casey Jones how to fight effectively, though they were unsuccessful. He also was once attacked in the sewer by a large albino alligator, but was saved by Leo's intervention.
Seasons 1-4 As an example, the first episode opens with an exercise where the objective was to get the candle Splinter was holding in his hand. Raphael came closest to getting the candle, before he was seen by Splinter and the candle was taken by Leonardo instead. Raph and Leo quickly traded insults at each other, while Michelangelo and Donatello watched. When their home was attacked by a group of robots, Raphael fought alongside his brothers and Splinter. After their home was destroyed, Raphael and his brothers separated from Splinter and went into New York. Raphael ended up being trapped in a van. Luckily, he was saved by Donatello and regrouped with Splinter.
Ninja Tribunal Raphael became one of the Ninja Tribunal Acolytes along with his brothers. He is the second of the ninja to focus his spiritual energy through the Amulet of the Acolytes and his spiritual avatar is that of a dragon. Although his brothers (especially Mikey and sometimes Leo) often bear the brunt of his temper, Juto-Shisho thinks that indignant anger suits him when he boldly steps into the spirit forge and is granted Banrai.
Fast Forward In TMNT: Fast Forward, Raphael was the only one who hated the future. Mainly his temper was aimed at the technique used in 2105, which was highly developed.
The only time he liked the future is in Headlock Prime as he got to attend a wrestling match since he can now go out in the open. Raphael also fought the villain Triple Threat, who sought to steal the belt and they fought in streets of the city where Raphael was cheered on by the crowd. Raphael earned the nickname "Turtle Terror" for defeating the villain.
Back To The Sewer In Back To The Sewer, the Turtles return to their present time, and even still Raphael is the grumpy tough talking New Yorker he's always been. However, in this series there are explicit facts that show that Casey and Raph are true best friends because in certain episodes, Raphael and Casey talk about the future wedding of O'Neil/Jones (April O'Neil/Casey Jones), and Raphael always seems to be there for Casey and actually quotes "So, ya think I'm best man material, or what?" Thus, in the series finale episode, Wedding Bells and Bytes, Raphael stars as the best man in the wedding; actually catching Casey just as he's about to faint from nervousness twice. Raphael also helps defeat the Cyber Shredder. Raphael is happy to leave the future and be back in his own time, but Raphael hates talking about it. Raphael also seems to be the tallest turtle brother in this series.
Turtles Forever In Turtles Forever, he would comment that he sees the 1987 Turtles as "fools, not ninjas". He think of the 1987 Turtles as “a group of Mikeys”. In addition would pick one of them up like a menace and the 1987 Turtles would get annoyed. Later he would jump in and save 1987 Leonardo, Raphael and Michelangelo from being crushed by a giant 2003 Shredder. He did, however, immediately take a liking to the Original "hardcore" Turtles, yelling "I love these guys!" He even said he would consider retiring to their world.

Relationships Family Leonardo When Raph was a kid he wanted be the leader, and sometimes experiences envy over Leo's position over his brothers, although all he wanted to do is to please his family the best he could.
When Raphael got a little older, he grew out of his jealousy and accepts the fact that Leo is the leader and he should respect that. He doesn’t argue with Leo very often, but they can butt heads on occasion.
However, the two are closer than they appear at first glance. After Leo was almost beaten to death by the Foot, Raphael was driven to tears over his fear that his brother would die. As Leo recovered, Raphael helped him forge new katanas and served as emotional support, which continued throughout their next conflict with Shredder. In The Ultimate Ninja, Raph attempted to protect Leo from the Ultimate Ninja when he challenged him and lashed out in anger and fear when Leo was nearly hurt.
Donatello Don and Raph get along well the most. Raph sometimes can remark about Don’s intelligence but Don let’s it slide. However Raph is usually the first to compliment him on one of his inventions. One of Raph’s favorite inventions that Don had invented is the Shell Cycle.
Michelangelo Raph's relationship with Mikey is most strained compared to his relationship with his other brothers. Raph argues with motor mouth Mikey the most. Mikey loves to tease Raph for his amusement. He would taunt Raph about his accomplishments. In addition to Mikey’s pranks, Mikey would make jokes taunt, and be cocky towards him. This would irritate Raph, prompting Raph to smack Mikey upside the head, argue with him or (on rare occasions) beat him up.
However, it is shown that he does deeply care about Mikey, as evidenced by situations where it appears that his brother has been endangered. When it appeared that Leatherhead had hurt Mikey in Hunted, Raph pleaded with his brother to say something to them.
Master Splinter Insert details here.
Casey Jones Casey and Raph are close, although they butt heads every now and then.
Trivia Like most of his incarnations, the 2003 version of Raphael (like Casey) speaks with a Brooklyn accent and it’s slang. Like his brothers, Raphael is a practitioner of Chi Gong, as shown in "Turtles in Space, Part 3: The Big House". "Banzai" is this incarnation of Raphael's favorite catchphrase. Raphael's spirit totem is the dragon, the same as his brothers. Raphael is the first turtle to cry in the series when Leonardo was badly injured after they found out that the Shredder returned. He has a soft spot for children as is shown in Lone Raph and Cub. Raphael likes his Shell Cycle so much that when Hun stole and wrecked it he stopped at nothing to get even with him. There are similarities in Same As It Never Was and the Exodus, Part 2. Both times, Raphael charges and attacks Karai after she stabs his brother, Leonardo. However Raphael only won once (in Exodus: Part 2). Raphael slaps Mikey when he says or does something stupid or annoying. In Tales of Leo, Raphael mentioned on how he was going to be the leader, and implies that he wants to really impress his family. Has experience in blacksmithing, as he assisted Leonardo in forging new swords. He has a pair of inline skates, which he is highly proficient at using. When Raphael gets angry and someone stops him, he usually listens and stops himself unlike the 2012 incarnation. His favorite book is "Jurassic Park" by Michael Crichton. Favorite food is cereal. Favorite music is: Rap, Metal, Hardcore, Punk. Teachers and Students [Source] The 2003 TV series incarnation of Donatello is voiced by Sam Riegel. Known as "Don" is the smartest and most technologically-adept turtle. His personality is still the traditional techno turtle like most incarnations but unlike most of the Donatello incarnations, he is the most passive and rarely took aggression slightly. His trademark bo once again his primary weapons, but he has used other weapons such as laser guns and those of his brothers.
Contents[show] Physical Appearance Don is mutated turtle with a purple mask and brown paddings on his knees, elbows and wrists. His skin color is olive green throughout all 7 seasons of the 2003 series.
Personality Although in this incarnation Don is still the brains of the bunch, he’s pacifistic. Sometimes he is a little witty but he doesn’t annoy his brothers. Like in the Mirage comics, Donatello has a complex personality in the 2003 animated series. Several episodes concentrate on him, as well as his emotional and intellectual struggles. As in his other incarnations, Donatello is very book smart, a skilled technician and has a tendency to think things through. Even more pacifistic than his other incarnations, Donatello shows a greater interest in technology than his ninjutsu training.
During his first Battle Nexus Tournament, despite being a very gifted ninja, he lost in the first round of the competition. Even so, Donatello will defend his brothers at any cost, and he frequently assists the team in many ways through the technology he develops, mostly vehicles and communication devices. Like Leonardo, Donatello does his best to prepare for any situation. For instance during the Turtles' infiltration of the Shredder's tower, where Don carried all the equipment and gadgets they would need.
Don is the calmest out of all his brothers. He is gentle, very peaceful, and doesn‘t really lose his temper. Sometimes he can be a little witty which doesn’t bother his brothers, but overall he is a gentle turtle who is well liked by all of his brothers never engaging in major confrontations with them. He rarely fights with them but he doesn’t argue with them. In fact, Donatello was the one to reunite his alternate-dimension brothers against the Utrom Shredder in the episode Same As It Never Was.
Leatherhead considers Don to be one of the most gentle-natured people he's ever met. In the fourth season, he was infected by a monster, and in the episode Adventures in Turtle-Sitting, he mutates into a monster himself (which happened to Raphael in the Mirage Comics). When he mutates into a monster, he loses his gentle personality and becomes violent and aggressive. However he does show signs of calming down whenever Master Splinter talks to him and is eventually returned to normal thanks to Baxter Stockman's cure.
Biography Childhood Don was an ordinary baby turtle along with his brothers, until they were exposed to a mutagen that originated from the TCRI building. Since then Splinter trained them in ninjitsu and raised them as his own children.
When he was a little older, he went to Japan with Splinter and his brothers to bury Hamato Yoshi's remains near the home of the Ancient One. While there they encountered a Bone Demon that wore an amulet that blinds the wise, but the Turtle Tots were able to see him and helped Splinter and the Ancient One defeat him. Afterwards the Ninja Tribunal erased their memories of the trip and were taken home.
Seasons 1-4 Insert details here.
Ninja Tribunal Donatello became one of the Ninja Tribunal Acolytes along with his brothers. He was the first ninja shown to focus his spiritual energy through his Amulet of the Acolyte. This is perhaps due to the fact that the Acolytes training began with studying in a library, where Don enthusiastically absorbed knowledge of the secret arts. His spiritual avatar is that of a dragon.
Fast Forward A time window malfunction (that turned it into a time machine) caused Donnie, his brothers, and Master Splinter to be "fast-forwarded" to 2105, hence the show's name Fast Forward. Donatello was one of two Turtles, alongside Michelangelo, that adapted best to the new lifestyle of the future. He was extremely interested in the new technology and quickly bonded with Cody Jones. Using his ideas, Cody had made many new, high-tech turtle weapons and vehicles. In the episode The Journal, which features the Turtles going back to their own time, he uses his knowledge of the future to build new gadgets such as a fusion generator.
Most of the episodes in this season is mostly centered around him due to the plot goals of them returning to their own time as well as adapting to future technology of 2105.
Back To The Sewer After a long time, Cody and Don were able to finish repairing the time portal and were finally able to back to their own time. Unfortunately, Viral took over Serling and sent them jumping around time until Donny managed to repair Serling enough to create another time portal to their own time. But Viral took control of Serling again and was about to blast the Turtles, but Splinter took the blast.
Donatello was devastated by the loss of his teacher and father, and for some time was obsessive with gathering up all of Splinter's bits in order to restore him; constantly blaming himself for the incident. After some time when Don was faced with the choice of saving his brothers or gathering more of Splinter's bits, he realized that he should be there for his brothers more often. In the episode Web Wranglers, Raphael has stated that Don has an IQ of 637 - a likely highly inflated stat. It should be noted that Don was the one who killed (with help from Splinter) the Cyber Shredder by blasting him with the same energy beam Viral shot at Splinter at the beginning of the season. After that, he witnesses Casey and April getting married.
This season mostly focused on his goals and progress of bringing Master Splinter back to reality from cyberspace as well as him destroying the Cyber Shredder. Thus making him the main character of this season overall.
Turtles Forever In Turtles Forever, he helps his counterpart 1988 Donatello build a dimensional portal stick that they used to get to the "1988 universe", and re-modify it to track the Utrom Shredder's trail towards Turtle Prime.
